This helmet is basically the same as a couple other differently-branded entry-level DS helmets, aside from small differences in each design. For the money, this helmet offers a fantastic value. Fit and finish are slightly lacking, and it is a bit on the heavy and noisy side, but it's certainly tolerable, and would probably require more than doubling the price of the helmet to resolve. Minimal visor distortion, great ventilation, fit is spot-on. The visor's detents could be a little firmer as well, but it's something small that shouldn't matter on a helmet at this price point. Overall, highly recommended.
I did have to make one modification to the helmet, the breath guard kept hitting my nose, so I pulled it out (it also is one of the layers of the front intake filter, so that all comes out with it) - I'm sure once the helmet breaks in, it'll be fine, and I think I can slip the breath guard back into place without too much difficulty. For now, I just have a little more ventilation.

Great upgrade from the piece of foam in my Cape Town Air jacket - it actually provides more airflow and gives MUCH better protection. I'll be putting one of these in every Alpinestars jacket I own.

Helmet has amazing visibility, is lightweight, and has good airflow. It is definitely made for people with "round" shaped heads. The only two complaints I have - the drop-down sun visor doesn't seem to lock in place or have a proper "stop" - sometimes when flipping it down quickly, it'll come down past the point where it's obviously supposed to stop. The only other issue is that the helmet seems to "flex" if you apply pressure to the sides where the chin-bar is installed, although I'm sure that's just because of the design of the helmet, and wouldn't matter in any but the most EXTREME circumstances. Other than those issues, this is a fantastic helmet.

Used daily for about three years before it needed to be replaced. Not one instance of visor fogging until near the end. Slapped a new one on and I'm ready to go for another couple years!

Fit
Small
Slightly Small
Large
The jacket seems to be sized a bit small - I ended up going with a size larger than normal - the A* sizing chart seems to be at least a couple inches off in the shoulders and chest on these. Adding the liner to the jacket doesn't help in that regard either!
This thing will flow a lot of air when you're moving, however, unlike a lot of traditional mesh jackets, there is still a non-removable lining under the mesh which could hinder airflow.
The collar is pretty tall, and takes some getting used to. I could foresee it popping the snap off of a d-ring strap holder on certain helmets,
The liner is pretty breathable but is just as waterproof as advertised. Not thick enough to be particularly warm, even with the fleece, but you can always put on a sweater underneath.
Chest armor blocks a fair portion of the front venting, however, I don't think it'd matter too much. The chest "armor" is nothing more than cheap foam padding anyways, and I don't think you'd lose a lot by removing it or taking a hole punch to it. The same goes with the back "armor" as well, however, I think the Bionic Air back protector that matches the jacket would be a wonderful addition. Perhaps the replacement chest armor as well, as it is also ventilated.
The Jacket fits easily into a Givi E21 case, which is very convenient when visiting clients during the day.
It's *super* lightweight compared to what I'm used to (thick leathers with heavy armor) - much more comfortable, but this is my first proper textile jacket and I would be curious to see how the lighter armor and materials hold up in a get-off.
The liner is a bit of a pain to install and remove, mainly due to the fact that the wrists do not unzip, they only tighten/loosen with velcro, which makes securing the ends of the sleeves of the liner difficult.
Overall, I think this will be a great three-season jacket from what I've seen so far. It seems high-quality and well thought-out. I'll probably spend the extra money for the upgraded chest and back armor, because I really think it'll make the jacket safer *AND* improve airflow.
My only major complaint is the selection of colors available. Hi-Viz yellow, and dark grey. How about a light tan or something? People buying this jacket are planning on riding it in HOT climates, and making the thing dark and black does not help people stay cool (or stay visible if they don't want the neon green road-worker look)
Oh, and my mom says it's very stylish :)

Simple kneeguards - I got these for wearing over jeans while I ride without proper riding pants on, when I just want to throw on my jacket and go - probably not the BEST protection on the market, but miles better than plain denim, and super quick to put on and take off.
