I purchased this faceshield about a week after purchasing the helmet. It blocks direct sunlight very well. I've been able to ride with it on during very cloudy days and still have ample visibility. However, I recommend packing a clear/lighter visor for days as these just to be safe.
Looking at the visor from outside, it is pretty dark; but the rider's face can still be seen though minimally. I'm not very sure about other riders, but I dislike being identified while riding so I'd like if it were a bit darker.
It does fog, so it is best to use this faceshield with the anti-fog insert that comes with the helmet itself or just buy it separately as I plan to. I honestly believe that it is nearly impossible to ride without the insert, especially in the colder temperatures. At least that is my experience with the faceshield sans anti-fog insert.
I've had a few pieces of debris and sizable rocks (size of an infant's fist) fly up and strike my faceshield pretty hard going at least 45 mph and there was no scratching or cracking. I think I was just lucky.
Overall, this was a great purchase and I would—probably will—make it again. I recommend this product.

I've had this helmet for a few weeks now and feel that it's about time I share my feelings on this piece of protective gear.
Though it is a racing helmet—and I was very aware of that upon purchase—I use it for street riding. The airflow is phenomenal even outside of the tuck position and even the 3/4 position. But due to this awesome airflow, there is wind noise at 45+ mph. It is not unbearable, but it is there. However, the upper vents' wheel mechanisms that control the amount of air you want to allow in help some with the noise.
Upon receiving my new helmet, I put it on. Within 10 minutes, I almost forgot that I was wearing it. It is extremely light. For me, it was a bit hard to tell the difference between it and another helmet by holding it in my hand, but the difference is completely noticeable when worn. No more sore neck.
I've yet to test out its durability—and would rather not—but if I'm ever curious I'll watch a couple of Spies' crash videos and feel satisfied.
If you are considering purchasing this helmet, then I highly recommend you take the leap and purchase whether for racing or street.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I purchased these gloves to use for an MSF course. I tried them on and, as almost everyone has mentioned, it is a tight squeeze to get your hand through the opening. Once you do, everything is fine unless you have my problem.
One of the gloves felt much smaller than the other and I could visibly tell that the stitching was slightly different on one causing the glove to fit tighter than the other. It helps to put them on everyday and make a tight fist or get a strong person and let them stretch them /gently/ repeatedly. It also helps to trim your nails to create more space for your fingers, especially if they are above the tips of your fingers.
If you're afraid of having this problem, you can always size up once over your usual size. Better to have a little too much room, than little to none to move around comfortably.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Scorpion EXO-500 Helmet - Solid Colors The Scorpion EXO-500 immediately catches the eye with its innovative design, enhanced by a superb sharp ridge on the underside of the shell. Inspired by its older brother, the Scorpion EXO-1000 , the EXO 500 Helmet is based on the GT philosophy and is fitted as standard with the last generation visor of its elder. And as if that were not enough, it integrates the SpeedView built-in retractable sunvisor treated with anti-fog coating on both sides, two accessories usually reserved for high-end helmets! Comprising 3 caps and a lighter and more durable shell than its predecessor, fitted with a very soft and comfortable inner lining thanks to the new KwikWick2 liner and triple density foam cheek pads, the Scorpion EXO 500 Helmets will drastically change your expectations from a full face helmet of the standard range. Equipped with the revolutionary Airfit technology and a state-of-the-art ventilation system, chances are the new Scorpion will steal the show from the much more expensive helmets among those daily users who want to buy the best helmet for the best price. Have any intermediate ovals tried the EXO-500? How does it feel?

According to all of the literature and videos I've been frequenting, this helmet is about medium round/meant for those with a somewhat rounder-shaped head. Has anyone with an intermediate oval head tried on/own this helmet? How does it feel compared to helmets that are meant for intermediate ovals? Is there a major difference? Thank you.

Too much for everyday sport riding?

Are these a bit too much for just plain everyday sportbike riding/walking around? I don't plan to ride dirt. mud or terrains other than concrete, asphalt and the like for now. I just really like the protection these offer over many of the other similarly priced boots.

Thanks.

Scorpion Women's Nip Tuck Jacket Built to keep the wearer cool and protected in the hottest weather, the Nip Tuck combines ballistic nylon and armored impact areas (shoulders, elbows) with nylon mesh panels that let air in and perspiration out. A Windliner can be zipped right in when the weather cools off, and elastic-corded adjustable side panels provide a tailored fit and clean flap-free aero ride.

Can this be used as a fall/winter jacket?

Is it warm enough to wear during all of fall and winter and does it come with a zip-in liner? If so, would I still need to layer up?
Thanks.

RevZilla's Opinion of the The Bell Vortex Helmet The Bell Vortex Helmet has grown to be one of the top selling and more ubiquitous 200 sport helmets in the RevZilla family. The light weight, Snell Rating and ability to use the Bell Photochromic shield allow the Bell Vortex Helmet to cover a lot of the bases the typical sport or track day rider is looking for in a reasonably priced helmet. Many times we see this type of functionality only available in helmets over the 300 mark. If you find a graphic or color that suits your taste and you have an intermediate oval head shape, the Bell Vortex is a great option.

How do glasses fit with the Vortex?

I've been reading the reviews and almost everyone mentions the sides being a bit tight at first. I wear glasses and was wondering if that would be a problem with the first few wears.

Thanks.
