This piece of gear is excellent for the money. i used it alot till i hit a deer and trashed it last winter. It kept me very worm with just jeans and a light pair of long skivies underneath. I ride no matter the temps and even in 25 degree weather at 80 mph with the wind chill near 1 degrees it does well for me. im a little hot blooded though. Protection is nearly zilch as far as a crash goes but its isnt advertised as such so not complaints about it. It was 110% water proof for me and i ride not matter the weather so thats important that it is waterproof as well as warm. The crotch is really low but you just gotta deal with it.
I had an accedent with an EXO750 helmet and i cant say i would have made it if i had this or another "Plastic Shell" helmet. Read my review on that on. Anyway. this helmet seems to fit smaller that the 750. i cant say i feel safe riding at speeds over 35-40 due to my knowledge of what hight speed head impacts do to kevlar type helmets such as the 750. So really just use this helmet as grocery getter or a cruizing helmet not for highway or byway use.

Great tire all around, Ive commuted daily on these for about 2 years now. i get over 10000 miles out of them but i take em to the limit and get a little more to over 12000. Not that i recomend it. Like i said i commute daily not 20 miles, 100 miles minimum daily just for work. i ride about 2500 miles a month and alway know my traction is there when i need it. I ride. I am going to switch to a Shinko 705 to try them out and see how they last for the money.

So you cant decide on thsi helmet verses the EXO400. Your not sure you want to spent this amount when you can get a cool looking even cheaper helmet. Ok let me help you ive owned both the 400 and the 750. 750 is more compfortable, quieter and cooler looking. Fit seems to be right on with the size chart. Still not sure huh. Ok let me give you a little more to convince you. You are working late and riding home one cold December morning. Its 3 am and you are almost home. You top the last hill and head into one of the last corners before for the last 2 miles to your house. 50 miles per hour you lean into the start of the turn......and you hit a 200 lb. deer that leaped out of the ditch where it was resting for the night. a guy wake you up and asks what happened. its 4 am, your still alive on the side of the road now. Your pretty EXO 750 live fast with kevlar construction is cracked from the left base vent to the top of the helmet. But you are ALIVE. its not a $600 helmet like others but it will save your life and trust me living is better than dieing, i almost did if it wernt for this helmet.
if you want to know for sure if you have aligned you chain properly by this too.. Also, the price is awsome in my opionion i paid about two and half times this much for one from the place i get my Smart Chain chain and Titanium II sprockets, Krause Racing. Check em out. LIfetime garuntee but pricey. Anyway if your chain isnt aligned properly you loose horsepower at the rear tire and fuel mileage, About 3-5%. That is a lot, how much have you spent to increase your power by just 5 %. Just get this and be done with it. Worth what i paid, a bargain at this price.
