Airflow of Turbine vs Airwave vs Ignition 2
How does the airflow compare on the Airwave, Turbine, and Ignition 2? I know there are a lot of differences in the level of protection, but I am curious if I am trying to wear it 90 degree and up if there is much difference in these jackets.
The Turbine and the Ignition 2 both use Dynax mesh by Schoeller, which offers good airflow and is the highest abrasion-resistant mesh on the market. The leather in the Ignition will flow less air in hot temps than the textile used in the Turbine jacket, so the Turbine wins. The Airwave is a new for 2012 product that has not yet been released by REV'IT! so there is no practical application review of it's airflow just yet, but I would imagine it will be equivalent to the REV'IT! Air jacket with it's large panels of airmesh. For max airflow, the Airwave wins, for max protection, the Ignition 2 wins, the Turbine offers the best balance between high airflow and safety.
