I replaced the older leather saddlebags on my 1999 Yamaha Road Star. I tried the easy, over-the-fender approach but I wasn't happy with the results.
I then used the included hard mount kit and the results are fantastic. I love the look and size of these bags.
I was going to add the quick-detach option but opted for the bag liners. Now when I arrive, I can simply pull out the liners an use the bags to go buy beer.
I can't speak to durability and the install was less than simple but in the end I'm very happy with the bags and with RevZilla.
Yes, I recommend this product.
