I got this jacket in size 54 first, since i wear an alpinestars 54. But it was surprisingly big, quiet loose in the arms and torso. I felt that the protection may not be that useful on a fall,as they may move around. Exchanged that for a 52 with no issues, thanks to revzilla's easy exchange policy. When it arrived, it was a big tight!!! uhh!! But i decided to work around it, as i was able to still zip up with no issues. And it prefer more body hugging type, than loose armor moving around.

Too thick to qualify for liners - expensive with the whole package!

I got these ( Size M ) a few days back and tried it out - First thought, it was a struggle to get them to fit inside my alpinestars drystar winter gloves - Size L. There was no way i could get them to fit as liners. The size M was a bit small and i thought it would be better because they may fit well inside - but NO.
installation of battery harness was a breeze, and when i finally managed to get 1 liner and glove on, gave up on trying to get the 2nd one. the Heat increase as RPM increases as another reviewer commented. Definitely need to get the heat controller ( $ 70? ). so this really is a $150 product to make it work effeciently ( if you can manage to get your gloves on top of this ). Overall they may work inside summer gloves ( but doubt it in extreme cold 35 below ), standalone i would not recommend them because of no protection.

I got this product about a week back and started using it for my 40 min commute with low 50's weather in Portland. So far its been great, obviously dexterity goes down a bit with bulky gloves. But never to a point where i had any trouble grabbing any levers....
My fingers felt a bit chilly after about 20 mins of the ride, not to the point of being uncomfortable but just chilly. So i don't know how well it will fare in 40's + wind chill. I will find out late December or January and update..
So far Fit seems great, I'm iffy if i should've gone for a medium instead of a large.. I normally wear a large summer gloves, so thought a medium might give me a more snugger fit because of the added bulk..
Protection seems great, all in the right places. Covers well over the jacket so no clod air flow in the inside. Over all very satisfied with the product.

Couldn't be more happier!! I bought the Alpinestarts Bionic SX Knee Guard, way too loose ( you can read the review on that product ) So ended up returning that and got the MSR. Fit is excellent, the straps feel very secure. The memory foam pad on the inside feels great on the knees, excellent ventilation ( I wore it over the jeans and just this on my knees for a short spin ). Product is very compact and fits like how a race jacket should fit.
Over all very impressed with the quality and fit. ( I'm 5' 11" and 174 pounds, medium/skinny built ). There was good amount of strap left so even if you have thick legs this may fit very well.

Ordered the product after researching a while for a good comfortable fit Knee/Shin pad. I use this mainly for commuting. Comfort and protection seems great, even though i never wore this on the road yet. Design is great, looks nice, good ventilation ( tried it infront of a "Fast" fan at home).
The cons - too big to wear under jeans - you need a really looooseee jeans. Over the jean also didn't go very well because i wear a full boot under my jeans. The straps was the main let down for me - they are super elastic so i did not get a very firm feeling of them fitting me. The buckle feels very "plastique", and i wore it in my home for a few hrs and was walking around and invariable i had to adjust this every 5 mins. It kept sliding down, I imagine it would happen every time I'm at a stop light or sign on a motorcycle. You need to have very "Thick" legs for this to stay on properly.
All i kept thinking when i was wearing this is that if i get into a crash and land on my knees and i'm sliding face down. This will definitely rip off my leg and come apart.
I'm sure the protection is great coming from Alpinestars, but fit is terrible if you are a skinny person ( I'm 5'11" and 174 lb, medium built ). So I ended up returning this product and bought the MSR Reflex Knee/Shin Guard - I have some great things to say about this one. Check out my review on that product!!.
Revzilla was great, they shipped me the MSR the same day of the RMA and i got the product right the next day!!!!
