I have been wearing the Avro White/Blue combo for over 4 months. Started wearing it right before the winter began in October here in the Northern VA/DC area. The quality from Dainese is top notch. Great details and craftsmanship on this jacket. The style of the Avro jacket is unmatched. The jacket is a head turner but I suppose if you are looking for something more subtle then you wouldn't be reading this review.
Fit wise it runs true to size and it is a sport fit. I am 6 foot 1 inch and 160 lbs. I bought the 54. I could have gone to the 52 since I have a 41 inch chest with a deep breath. Going a little bigger gave me room to wear some layers underneath. The 54 is a good fit with just a little room for a comfort fit. Going to a 52 would have made the sleeves a bit shorter but it would be a snug fit. On the bike the jacket just fades away. Very comfortable in the race position. The jacket has a liner and even with the small areas of perforation it breathes quite a bit. Those S1 stretch panels let air right through. I am able to use this jacket with a t-shirt and an under armor base layer 2.0 down to about 45 degrees. Any colder and you really feel the cold air penetrate the jacket. But my tolerance for cold is quite low. Take out the liner and you can use the jacket up to 75 degrees before it starts to get a bit warm.
Shoulder protection is stylish and comfortable. The elbow and forearm protectors also offer high levels of protection.
The only negative is the price combined with no back protector. At this price point you would think a back protector would be included.
So If you are looking for high Italian fashion with good protection then this is the jacket for you.

How is this jacket cut?

Does this have a more euro tight fit or more standard relaxed fit. I measure a 43" chest 5'9" and currently wear a 42 in Alpinestars GP-plus ( tried on the 44 but was too loose). Should I stick with the same size or go up one?
I am 6'1" 160 lbs athletic build. 41 inch chest with a deep breath. I bought the 54 and the Wave G back protector. So with the back protector in, the jacket is snug with a little room to breath. I could go to a 52 but because of my height the arms may be a little short. This jacket is a sport cut or euro fit but at the same time it runs true to the size chart. The 54 is sized for a 42.5 inch chest so it gave me room for some base layers to stretch it into the winter. Now I will say that the jacket is a bit looser without the liner.
