I've think about purchasing heated gear every spring and fall and I finally did it. I purchased the heated jacket liners for both my wife and myself. We also purchased the dual controls (instead of the single) - just in case in the future we want to get some of the other gear like gloves, pants, etc. For sizing the jacket liners we watched Revzilla's video on how to choose the proper size, highly recommended. The jacket liners were a perfect fit. It's very important that mama is warm when riding and these liners really lived up to our expectations. I'm sure it will greatly extend the riding season. We'll probably add gloves or sole liners in the fall or next season. One really important item is that I hate to be all tangled up in wires when I'm riding, the controls attached to the jacket and tucked away neatly in my leather jacket pocket, just got to remember to "unhook" yourself when getting off the bike.
There's nothing real special about the controls, except that they are necessary to operate the heated jacket liners. I am an electrical engineer and in my opinion they appear solid, well sealed, and are made of quality connectors, wiring, and components. They are a little pricey, but overall probably a good investment. It took about 30 minutes to install the wiring on the bike and we were ready to roll. Rick H-D Electra Glide w lots of goodies
Gerbing's Portable Dual Temp Controller The Gerbing temperature controller has two separate temp-controllers that provide separate controls for two different articles of heated clothing, such as gloves and jacket liner, for the same person. Attach this temperature controller to any solid object with Velcro or attach to your belt with our convenient, optional clip-on case. Dial in your level of comfort. Digital controllers ensure that your heated clothing uses only as much power as requested. Wires are UL listed and completely safe, in all weather conditions. Three-Year Warranty. Note Not for use with two jacket liners only for use with a single jacket liner plus gloves, pants, and/or insoles.

This is a great helmet and not bad looking either. Best thing is when riding in the rain, you can pop the shield down to keep the rain out of your glasses. Also, there is no leaking into the helmet at the top of shield as in other helmets, because the shield comes out of the helmet and there's no place to leak. The straps and earphone pouches offer some noise protection for your ears (although I still use cotton on long trips). The ear phone pouches can be unzipped and removed to make for better air flow in the summer and left in to keep your ears warm in the winter. It's not nearly as heavy or restrictive as my 3/4 with full face shield. I tried one on in a MC shop on a trip this summer, so I knew my size when I ordered, it is a perfect fit. My only complaint is the visor catches too much wind and pushes the helmet back, but that's not really a problem because it simply unsnaps and can be removed. I think the helmet looks better without it any way. One other nice feature about the face shield is you can ride with your prescription glasses, be able to see your GPS, and still have some protection from the sun, and when not needed just pop it back up and put on your shades. Cheers and happy riding!
