For those of us that don't have a boatload of money to spend on gear, this is a great option. The helmet is a great buy for the price point. I am glad that AFX makes products like this available. I never owned the FX37. However, based upon the complaints of that model, it would seem that they addressed them all with the FX39. Revzilla is a great place to get your gear from. You don't have to spend $700 for a good quality helmet.

What are the Pros and cons of a matte black finish on the AFX FX-39? Is it true matte black is harder to keep clean and blemishes easier?
Any gloss finish will clean easier than a matte one. The matte finishes are more porous and will trap more dirt.
