These shorts are quite comfortable. I use them with riding jeans and/or riding cargo pants.
Make sure to get the cargo pants and jeans one size bigger than you usually wear to make room for these.
These shorts don't give me the impression of being particularly strong in the protection department (the tailbone padding is short, way up high and a bit useless where it is, the hip protection is a bit thin) but it's better than nothing and it's more comfortable than the padding that comes standards with Draggin Jeans and certainly better than nothing.
They seem to work fine in hot weather as well.
