So I wanted something lockable, stable at speed, and large enough to keep two helmets when touring. The ability to hold a decent size backpack would have been a plus. Started looking around and found the givi maxia line and a couple others like the shad, the coocase and the trax cases.
I have to admit, the price point for the coocase was attractive, but the cases just don't seem as well put together and the givi name is synonymous with durability. Plus with price matching i was able to narrow the gap a little.
Installing was a little tricky but that was the fault of my bike having under seat exhaust (fz6) not the givi stuff. Once I got that sorted everything from frame extension to installing the lights in the case was smooth as silk. One little tip in this regard, when installing the light connector on the base plate remember to check that the orientation is correct before doing the full install. Otherwise you may wonder if you did the wiring right only realize you need to rotate the connector 180 degrees.
As for the product, I LOVE this case. I was worried it would be huge as it seemed that way in pictures, but it actually looks great on the bike, and I dont find it affects the bikes handling at all. (I am quite large though as well) Having the extra brake lights is also quite nice as it does obscure the taillight a little, not enough to make it not visible, but when was extra brake lighting a bad thing.
I have been able to get a lot of stuff in this thing, including my neotec with sena attached and my leather jacket at the SAME time when stopping for lunch. Grocery shopping including a medium pizza and a birthday cake have found their way home in my maxia.
People complain about the top needing a little extra effort when closing, in that it needs a two hand approach, but I don't really mind. It takes about an extra 0.5 seconds to close.
I really like that it comes with three keys, two rubberized and a spare all metal key. (Already misplaced the original, so using one of the spares.
When the case isn't on the bike the top rack is fairly unobtrusive, though to be completely honest, I haven't taken the case off, it is too practical.
Thank you to the revzilla staff for helping in the decision to "go big or go home" as I don't think I would have been happy with anything smaller. And really as far as the dimensions are concerned it is so barely bigger than the v46 I can't imagine not wanting the additional storage.
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!

Three years ago 1200 mile trip felt like it was 12000.
Two years ago decided to try an airhawk based on numerous reviews. It has been the single best purchase I have made relating to my bike. Previously my feet would go tingly, my butt would lose all feeling and my back would kill after a couple of hours.
Last year my buddy(who I made buy one also) and I spent 12 hours a day in the saddle for 6 days and none of the previously mentioned problems showed their ugly faces.
Treat yourself, buy one. Check the measurements carefully as I feel like if the fitment is off could be why some others weren't successful. I also found that if you had too much air in the seat it didn't work right(as per the instructions).
A big plus for me was the fact it could be removed and moved from steed to steed as well.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Overall great gloves, but the picture is very grey and the gloves are very black. I realize the colour description is black, but the pic is misleadng.
To the gloves ...
Feel is great, contact with controls excellent.
Fit is bang on in the hand but I find the fingers are a little long. I probably should have returned them for the XL but it took me riding a few hundred kilometres to notice the problem.(Probably when they stretched a little)
I would definitely buy spidi products again. Materials and workmanship seem good. As I wear them, I will update for durability, but I don't see any reason why they shouldn't last okay.

First off, I don't know that my complaints about the product are about the product itself but rather the sizing. I don't think I have a huge head (60 cm on the nose), but this liner barely covers the top part of my head. The picture makes it look like it will cover from your forehead all the way down the back to your neck. Not even close in my case.
The actual construction looks very good, seams are all flat seams with a cool triangle construction, which probably helps with wear under a helmet.
So, long story short, I would recommend this product but only for either a medium head or someone with little to no hair.
