Gerbing 12V Temp Controller (Single / Portable) Dial in your comfort level with a simple turn of the dial! Unlike older rheostat type thermostats, Gerbing's coreheat12 digital temp controllers draw just enough current to maintain the heat you need. Our Temp Controllers allow you to adjust for your desired heat output of our 12v products. Gerbing's Temp Controllers are not designed to be used with our 7v products. If you intend to use this to control both a jacket and gloves simultaneously, you'll also have to purchase a Splitter . It is highly recommended by RevZilla that you purchase a Dual Controller if you are thinking of wearing multiple heated items as you will save money in the long run. Dial in your level of comfort. Digital controller insures that your heated clothing uses only as much power as requested. Wires are UL listed and completely safe, in all weather conditions. 1 Year Warranty. Attach this controller to any solid object with Velcro, or attach to your belt with our convenient, optional clip-on case.

When you buy a Gerbing product, you gotta have a controller or you'll be baking at full heat all the time. Gerbing knows that and they've got you by the cojones here because this little piece of kit costs a whopper and then some.
I am sure if you break it down you will be able to make your own for less than $10.00 but if you can't be bothered then this controller is for you. It does it's job by letting you know when the heat is on and you can control how much heat is produced by varying the current flowing into the heating element.
Thats about it as far as it's functionality is concerned. The dial doesn't have a "stepped" feel so you are constantly fiddling with it to get it "just right". You cannot live without this one so I guess I'd have to recommend this product. All I know is that when this one breaks, I'm making one on my own.
Yes, I recommend this product.

It just doesn't get hot enough once you start digging below zero degrees. In the negative temperatures you are better off wearing another glove over and above this one just to try and retain more heat.
Between 0 and 10 degrees these gloves are peachy. Without them I would have been a heckuva lot more miserable between -5 and -20 without these gloves. I personally expected a LOT more heating from them. Even at 25 degrees celcius you can comfortably wear these with the controller at full setting without breaking sweat. At this setting I want to experience borderline pain because of the heat.
Beautifully built. There is no doubting the biild quality and the thoughtfullness of the manufacturer to include fuses and wiring. No controller though - this has to be bought separately and it is bloody expensive for a potentiometer and a bit of electronics.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Picked up the XD3 from Revzilla on a whim after watching Ewan McGregor ride around the world in "Long Way Round".
My first impression when I opened the box was "wow that is a nice paint job". I got the black frost and I was expecting a rough matte finish but this smooth matte looks fantastic. This surface also allows me to mount the suction cup GoPro mount without worrying about it coming off.
The weight was the second surprise. Considering the features and the overall size of the shell I expected this to weigh a lot more. My Scorpion EXO 400 feels like it would weight twice as much as the XD3!
Some people have complained about distortion through the visor. I experienced no such problem and got used to the slightly different field of view. You can see a LOT out of this helmet compared to a regular helmet.
The peak does it's job and the Indian sun has to find someone else to blaze down on. Speaking of sun, this is the FIRST helmet that lets me use my Oakley polarized glasses without a fuss. They go straight in and the functionality of the helmet just went up a few notches because I prefer using polarized lenses over plain tinted visors.
Got my Scala Cardo Rider BT headset installed. You cannot use the clip type mount because you wouldn't want to damage the lip of the helmet. Just use the adhesive mount. It sticks well and doesn't damage the helmet. Plenty of room for the boom mike...for the first time. I've lost track of how many times I've tasted the mike in other helmets which force it into my mouth thanks to the tight fitting chin bar.
So far so good...I ride naked bikes most of the time so I am not facing any major aero related issues. Loving this helmet and I am sure I'll get another one if anything should happen to this one.
Special mention to Revzilla for super prompt shipping and fantastic packaging.
Yes, I recommend this product.
