Upgraded from a Bell entry level helmet that was long overdue, unboxing the X12 I was amazed at how well made it was and the attention to detail. Lots of details and features that were to be expected from Shoei's top of the line. First fitment, it was overly snug. After having worn it a few time, the fitment became snug and was more comfortable. Thank you memory foam liner and cheek pads. Not only is it lighter than my Bell, but also a lot more comfortable. I am extremely happy with this helmet! I also like how the interior of the helmet under the removable liner and cheek pads is felt lined. The Chatterbox speakers and microphone velcro adheres to the felt with some effort and stays put. My only complaint is that the breath guard isn't permanently attached. I like to grab my helmet from the chin guard with the visor open. I have to consciously keep track of the breath guard because is always comes loose.

I needed something for casual riding that was better than normal jeans. These fit the bill. Sizing chart was spot on, I normally wear a size 34, so that's what I bought and it fit perfect. These are definitely heavier than normal jeans. You can feel how hefty the material and seams are. I feel confident that they will hold up pretty well in a low-moderate speed crash, though I'll have to consider some kind of under garment protection since these jeans only protect again drag/abrasion damage.
The material around the shins and knees are notably thicker and I feel confident that if something gets kicked up while riding or I run over something, my shins will be protected.
Yes, I recommend this product.
