This is a really well made boot that I would recommend to anyone. I ride a sports bike (BMW K1300R) and usually wear sports/racing style boots. But some days when I am on and off the bike all day and walking around a bit, the racing boots quickly become very uncomfortable.
The SIDI Adventure Rain boots are comfort PLUS!
Also, by virtue of taking the bike regularly off the tarmac and along gravel roads, it is comforting to know that I am now wearing a boot with a tread pattern and design that affords greater traction when I have to put my foot down. No more sideways sliding and mild heart attack situations.
They are completely waterproof, as has been shown through a recent heavy storm I was caught in. The buckles are easily adjustable and the velcro fasting is simple and sturdy. They seem to be a high quality article that hopefully will last for some time to come. Also, I reckon they look real cool too!
Yes, I recommend this product.

REV'IT! Axis Pants The REV'IT! AXIS was purpose-built to meet and exceed the needs of the daily commuter. You had a laundry list of requirements, and we listened. REVIT AXIS is a 100 waterproof, wide-fitting overpant, which can be donned quickly over jeans without the need to remove your boots, thanks to a 2-way side zipper. The outer shell is constructed of a strong polyester fabric with CE-approved armor at the knees, which can be adjusted in height on the inside. AXIS is simple, strong, practical, and durable. Asked and answered. REVIT PROTECTION FEATURES Outer shell polyester 600D Waterproofing water resistant Composition outer shell 100 polyester lining 98 polyamide, 2 polyester Protection Knox Flexiform CE protection at knees Visibility laminated reflection at calves ERGONOMIC FEATURES Fit tour fit, regular Adjustability adjustment tabs at waist and ankles Features elastic at waistband, two-way easy entrance zipper, belt loops

The axis knee armor falls beneath my knee cap (while standing), is there a larger size knee armor that will fit & fill the axis knee pocket?

I have the Axis pant. Is the Knee armor suppose to be on/over the knee while seated or standing? In the video it is mentioned that the knee armor is adjustable. I'm aware of the velcro adjustments inside the knee armor pocket(s#, and that does not do the trick for me. I need to raise the knee armor to cover my knees. Perhaps replace it with larger armor? Is a universal larger knee armor available? Otherwise I love these pants, very comfortable #smiling).
I don't actually own a pair of the Axis pants, but have been using various other brands of motorcycle pants with integrated armour over the years.
I have found that you will almost never get knee armour to fit perfectly whilst riding AND standing. Pants and the human body just don't seem to work that way. I suggest that you adjust the armour so that it is positioned perfectly when riding. After all, THAT is when you may need it to do what it was designed for.

I have a 2EE Width Foot, will this work?

How is this boot for people with wide feet?
I have found that almost all SIDI footwear, whether it be motorcycling, bicycling or skiing, are generally broader than a lot of other comparable footwear. Which is one of the main reasons I buy a lot of their products, to suit my wider than average foot. The SIDI boots are VERY adjustable - within reason - and I have found that I am even able to wiggle my toes a bit!

Is this boot capable of being re-soled?

Appears to be a stitched sole, however would like to confirm the design. No direct info appears on Sidi's parts page.
The sole is NOT stitched on. Interestingly they have moulded the base of the boot so that it APPEARS to have been stitched. It seems that the sole is glued to the actual boot. The delineation between boot and sole is quite distinct and any capable repairman should have no problem replacing the sole.
That said, the soles are high density and I reckon they should last quite a while even with hard usage. I have only had my boots a month, so I can't tell you yet how they are travelling.

Height of boot

Could you give me the height of the boot from the bottom of the ankle to the top of the boot (not including the sole)
Mine are a size US11.5 or Euro46. From the top of the sole to the highest point they are 34cm (about13.5inches).

Water protection vs. Goretex version?

Hey guys - great site. In the video review of the Adventure Rain boot, Anthony refers to it as "waterproof". How much additional water protection would I have if I spent the additional $$$ on the Goretex version?
Hi!
I have recently been wearing the SIDI Adventure Rain boots through some very impressive storm systems coming through here. I have to say, they are dry - as - a - bone! While my jacket leaked and water managed to get in through a few spots here and there in other places, my feet remained COMPLETELY dry. Now, I haven't been as far as running through water crossings yet, so I don't know how they will hold up when standing in water of any depth. For GENERAL riding, I wouldn't bother paying the significantly higher cost for the Gore-Tex versions. For anything else more adventurous...

...it may be worth considering.
