the biggest selling point for this jacket for me was the ability to remove the sleeve-shells while still having armor in hot weather. as the video review says, it seems to be the only maker that has done this right. put the sleeves back on though, add the vest and wind\cold layer and you've got an amazingly warm and dry winter jacket.
my only complaint is pretty minor which is the white jacket has a white collar... which meant instant ring-around-the-collar. so i'd definitely go with another darker color. i'm getting another one within the next week or two for the updated taped zips and a darker color.

Are these jackets machine washable?
I'll be using this jacket for commuting if I buy it. I'm interested in the white because it is more visible, but I am worried about how it will show grime and dirt. Are you able to wash the outer shell?
i have the white (last year's model), it is very dirty after about 4000 miles. the collar is definitely the dirtiest. and it can be washed (all the armor comes out). as you might expect, that road grime is basically embedded into the jacket by now... pretty hard to get it really clean. all that said, i'm looking at getting the latest version of it, and white is drawing me in again. :)
