I bought this jacket as a warm weather, potential track jacket (has 3/4 zipper for race pants). Looking around I had a real interest in a high profile, high end jacket like this vector. The thing that drove me to actually purchase this jacket was the price point. RevZilla never, and I mean never allows anyone else to have the lower price. The current price tag of $399 of this fine piece was almost $100 less than any other retailer in the US.
Now, on to the actually details of the jacket itself. The jacket is heavy, it weighs in at 8 lbs. Even though it is heavy, you stay very cool in it as long as your are MOVING. This thing flows massive amounts of air thanks to the shoulder air inlets and the spacious race hump on the back. Couple that with the leather perforation and you have yourself a full leather jacket that is suitable for summer riding. The jacket also comes with a thermal liner vest that does a decent job of keeping your central core warm. The liner is only a vest and does not extend down the arms, so remember that in when colder weather rolls around.
One of the only draws backs on this jacket for me was the craftsmanship. Don't get me wrong the actually stitching for the arms and armor inserts is great. However, when you have had the jacket for 2 weeks and the 3 out of the 4 logs, that were stitched on mind you, start to peel off, you have to wonder; was this the right purchase? Is this jacket going to hold up?
Protection is top notch in this jacket. I feel very well protected. All armor for this jacket is internal except for the shoulder. The Shoulder armor is placed on the exterior giving greater mobility. Alpinestars sells the optional spine and chest protectors that I may consider picking up if I deem this to be my new track jacket.
All in all, this jacket is a great buy at $399. However, if you only have the option for purchasing at the original $500+ price point, I would advise you to pass and think of a different option.

I have ridden with AGV's for some time and have never had a bad experience with one of their products. The T-2 is no exception. The T-2 is modeled after AGV's GP Helmet line, the GP-Tech. This helmet take a lot of the features that AGV uses on the GP circuit and makes them more affordable to the average joe.
Lets start by talking about air flow. Air flow in this helmet is phenomenal. To me, it rivals the Bell Star. It's not quite the wind tunnel that the Star is, but it does extremely well. I notice air movement starting at about 15 MPH with both bents open. The removable chin curtain provides air redirection when needed, keeping unwanted air from coming in under the helmet and around the neck. The included removable anti-fog nose guard is also a plus. This piece completely eliminates visor fogging in lower temperatures.
Moving on to fit. This helmet, at first, fit tight. Not tight as in my head was going to pop, but tight as in my head was a bit squished. After about 500 miles of riding, the helmet loosened up a bit and the fit is perfect. A side not. The padding in the helmet is a little bit different than most others. The padding is almost like a mesh fabric instead of a solid foam. I noticed that my cheeks are much more comfortable, and cooler against this material than on the solid foam in other lids. Most importantly, in regards to fit, this helmet is light, light, light! Mine, a large, weighs in at 3.2 lbs. I have a hard time wearing, or even trying for that matter, anyone elses helmet because I'm spoiled by this feather weight.
Finally, finish and action. The finish on this helmet is marvelous. Mine is the solid black. I've gotten numerous comments on how good the lid looks. For a black lid, she definitely looks good. The action on the lid is a bit of a pain. The pull tab is a bit hard to pull down, but once you get used to it, it's easy.
Overall this helmet is fantastic. My only complaint about it was the action being a bit tough at first, but hey, that is hardly a complaint. If you are looking for a good looking, light weight and safe helmet, look no further. The T-2 is it.
PS - I forgot to mention, I was hit by a truck while wearing mine. This helmet saved my skull. Any helmet that does that for me deserves my +1.

Perf or non-perf?

Is there a big difference in temperature regulation between version perforated and non-perforated?
I live in Quebec and we have those rather cool days.

Thank you!
For a cooler climate, the non-perforated jacket is going to be your better choice. Think of it like wearing a jacket. If you are outside during cooler temps, your going to want to keep the air out and not allow it in. The air that is trapped around your body is what keeps you warm. If you allow that to escape via the perforated leather, that thermal barrier that the jacket was supposed to provide is no longer there.

What's the difference between the snow and motorcycle versions of the G4 Powerset?

The primary difference is that the "snow" model uses a fixed boom mic while the "motorcycle" version utilizes a cable mic that you can put anywhere inside a helmet.

Sizing Question

The jacket comes in S, M, L, XL etc but all your size charts for it are in inches with no reference to any of these. What are the measurements on an XL and a L size for the jacket?

In addition what are some of the solid back protectors that will fit in this jacket?
I pulled this sizing chart directly from AGV Sport's website.

Size Chest (in) Sleeve (in)
XS 34"-35" 23.5"
S 36"-37" 24"
M 38"-39" 24.5"
L 40"-41" 25"

Does the Vector Jacket have a back protector compartment?

It mentions chest protector compartment...is this a 2 piece chest protector?

Also: Does the Vector Jacket have a back protector compartment?
The jacket does have compartments for both chest and spine protectors. The protectors recommended for this jacket I have linked below.

Does this jacket offer any spine protection, and what type?

i.e. removable inserts, what material?
This jacket does NOT offer built in spine protection. To my knowledge AGV does not offer this in any of their jackets. If you would like this feature, I would highly suggest getting a crash vest for the added armor and support.

Also, remember looking for gear, AGV and AGV Sport are not the same company. AGV Sport used to be a subsidiary of the AGV brand but separated to concentrate on clothing and accessories, while AGV is primarily helmets.

What is the release date on this jacket?

The jacket already looks to have released. RevZilla is more than likely simply waiting on stock to arrive for their shelves. The actual release date of the jacket looked to be sometime during mid-August. You would have to get a hold of an actual RevZilla representative to double check.

Have you tried calling RevZilla's Customer Support Team? If you have any questions, they would be more than happy to help. RevZilla has some of the best Customer Support out of any company I have ever worked with.

I wear a Shoei RF-1100 in medium, what size would fit me for the AGV K3?

The RF-1100 in medium is pretty snugg and comfortable, while an Arai medium would squish my ears. I would like to know if the AGV K3 has a similar shape compared to the RF-1100. Also what size is similar? Thanks!
The size and fit of the Shoei and AGV shells is almost identical. Both are more of an oval shape. I have tried on several of the Shoei models and find them to fit very similarly to the AGV's that I own; T-2 and GP-Tech. So, in short, if you wear a medium in the RF-1100, than a medium in the K3 will be just fine.

On another note. If you are considering the K3, I would highly suggest you look into the T-2 line. The T-2 is based on the GP-Tech and is one of the best helmets I have ever owned. I would highly suggest reading my review on them. I have provided a link to the T-2 product page below.
