Schuberth C3 Pro Hi Vis Helmet The new Schuberth C3 Pro has been redesigned to improve on the original C3, which was already one of the quietest and most technologically advanced helmets ever produced. The rear spoiler, which has been further optimized in extensive wind tunnel testing, turns the C3 Pro into a real sport helmet which also demonstrates outstanding aerodynamic properties at high speeds in excess of 100 mph. With its enhanced aeroacoustics of 82 dB(A) at 100 km/h the C3 Pro is one of the quietest helmets in the world. The C3 Pro also incorporates two integrated antennas for increased ranges and better FM radio reception prepared for the fully integrated communication unit SRC-System. The inner lining, made of carefully selected materials such as COOLMAX, Interpower and Thermocool, has been extensively re-shaped and redesigned and sets new benchmarks with respect to comfort. New or Updated Features Redesigned shell is more aerodynamic and provided more downforce at higher speeds with little buffeting Interior helmet sound levels have been reduced to 82 dB(A) at 60 mph C3 84 dB(A) Interior liner has been completely redesigned with fewer seams and a more universal, interior fit Improved EPS with integrated antenna for SRC-System which improves radio and Bluetooth range New micro-lock ratchet chin strap Larger reflective panels on neckroll Improved faceshield ratcheting Integrated sun visor has a new look and improved quality Acoustics A quiet helmet means active safety for the motorcyclist. This permits the rider to concentrate on riding particularly at higher speeds. Many hours in the Schuberth acoustics wind tunnel have ensured that the C3 Pro is quiet. The comprehensive acoustics package with optimized helmet shell, wind deflector and ergonomic shape of the neck padding make the C3 Pro at 82 dBA one of the quietest helmets of all. Acoustics package makes helmet quiet Installation of a wind deflector enables the aeroacoustics and consequently the noise level to be improved still further. Only 82dB(A) at 100 km per hour (with naked bikes) Outer Shell The outer shell of the C3 Pro is offered in two helmet shell sizes and combines an aerodynamically optimal shape with excellent protection. It is manufactured using Schuberth's typical compression molding process and thus permits great stability and a low weight. Shell material S.T.R.O.N.G. fiber Helmet shell technology from SCHUBERTH permits low weight Glass fiber with a special resin added is compressed in a vacuum at high pressure to form a helmet shell which is exceptionally sturdy Perfected aerodynamics for higher speeds Upward lift 0! Directionally stable No oscillatory tendency No buffeting Spoiler integrated into the helmet shell SRC-System Ready The C3 Pro is by default equipped to accommodate the SCHUBERTH SRC-System C3 Pro (sold separately). To guarantee ideal radio reception for you, the C3 Pro is already equipped with two integrated antennas to boost reception and a Bluetooth connection. Optimum reception at all times Bluetooth antenna for wireless mobile, GPS and intercom connections to other SRC-System owners FM and Bluetooth antennas integrated into the helmet for optimum reception EPS The helmet shell of special EPS foam is modular in design to ensure optimal shock absorption. This complex segmentation guarantees enhanced force absorption and distribution and maximum safety. Made of specially optimized EPS foam Complex multizone foaming allows optimal shock absorption Inner Lining A special inner lining of the C3 Pro which was developed according to the innovative Comfort Fit concept ensures that the helmet fits comfortably and securely in all situations. The combination of carefully selected COOLMAX and Thermocool materials and the additional use of Interpower coatings also make the inner lining a highly-effective moisture removal and cooling system. COOLMAX pad system, completely removable and washable (hand wash, 30C) Optimized fit Variable for effective ventilation Adjustable for summer/winter Allergen-free Antibacterial Removable comfort cheek pads and head band pads Ventilation The C3 Pro is equipped with a further development of the proven C3 ventilation system. Thanks to the new design of the ventilation elements, the supply of fresh air is increased by up to 60. The combination of multipath channels in the EPS foam shell and the head/chin/mouth ventilation ensure that fresh air is distributed effectively over the entire head area. A.R.O.S. and Neck Strap The Anti-Roll-Off System (A.R.O.S.) especially developed by SCHUBERTH is provided as a safety feature in every SCHUBERTH motorcycle helmet. It ensures that the chinstrap is closed and correctly adjusted The helmet cannot pivot off the head from behind The risk of contact between the chin section of the helmet and the chin or throat of the rider is minimized due to the small angle of tilt The consequences of the helmet coming into contact with the chest as the result of an accident are reduced Precise setting of the chinstrap length through adjustment on both sides Micro-lock ratchet lock Faceshield The EasyChange visor mechanism makes changing visors extremely quick and simple without use of tools. City position offers maximum ventilation while traveling at slower speeds Pinlock visor prevents shield from fogging DOT and ECE certified.

I had so very much wanted to love this helmet... I had a terrible time just trying on the original C3: my longer-than-wide yankee American head hated the more spherical confines of the C3. The C3 Pro is just that little bit longer front to back, and it has made all the difference. My favorite full-face lids are the Arai Corsair V and the Arai Signet. The new Schuberth C3 Pro feels very similar to the Signet. I am impressed with the overall compactness of the shell (I am fitted perfectly in the Large/59cm size), and the lightness of this helmet. It is visibly smaller than my Signet, and considerably smaller then the Shoei Neotech -- which I also loved.
In the end, I went with the Schuberth C3 Pro due to its overall comfort, quality of build, features, light weight, best peripheral vision, and the integrated (optional) communications collar. I like the latching mechanism of the Neotech better, but I like the sun visor mechanism better on the Schuberth. The finish on the Shoei is stunning, yet I am all about the hi-viz neon yellow colorway these days, so score more aesthetic/safety points for the C3.
The C3 Pro fits me a tiny bit more snugly in the cheeks than the Neotech, about the same actually as the Arai Signet I wear when not wanting the modular. The Neotech is "felt" a bit more toward the occipitals -- nothing objectionable. I spent a lot of time wearing these helmets while sitting at the desk as I had to make sure I could still love them after a 10 hour day in the saddle (I didn't wear them for that long a time! And yes, my hair was always shampooed and clean). These are both "winners" and I would not hesitate taking either one cross-country. But the Schuberth C3 Pro is so light, so quiet, and so well-made... and plenty comfortable for me. There are things that bug me about any helmet... and never the same things, so I am always weighing the trade-offs. The Schuberth is not "perfect", but it is at least equal to the best and most comfortable helmet I have in the collection. It is getting an 8000 mile workout in June!!

Sidi Canyon Gore-Tex Boots Features Top grain leather construction Contrasting texture upper Equipped with a GORE-TEX waterproof-breathable membrane Velcro closure system above the ankle Micro adjustable strap system below the ankle Full length inner gaiter Rigid nylon innersole Removable arch support Internal heel protection Internal ankle protection Internal toe protection Leather toe shift-brake pad Nylon plate and internally padded shin plate Double stitched in all high stress areas Reflective panels Bonded non-slip lug type sole Non-Bootie Designs Sidi boots do not incorporate inner booties into their design, and for good reason. Booties make the design larger and cumbersome add to the boots thickness, which interferes with shifting, plus the inner booties retain body heat affecting the riders performance and comfort. Gore-Tex Striving for peak performance Whether its a day on a wet track, a long distance tour through all types of conditions, or simply pursuing your everyday adventures, Sidi GORE-TEX lined boots will help you get there. Designed to provide comfort and protection, Sidi GORE-TEX boots keep your feet dry, even when you encounter snow, or rain. Each Sidi GORE-TEX boot is totally waterproof to keep moisture from penetrating inside, yet incredibly breathable to allow sweat to escape. This high breathability is critical to your comfort because, simply put, sweaty feet are uncomfortable feet. Inside waterproof boots that are not breathable, moisture builds up and has nowhere to go. It then remains trapped against your skin, leaving your feet clammy, uncomfortable, and more prone to develop blisters. This can be even more of a problem in high aerobic activities because the more active you are, the more your feet sweat were talking up to one full cup of water a day! Sidis GORE-TEX lined boots is specifically designed to provide comfort and protection on a hard ride or for longer rides when the weather is warmer. The patented GORE-TEX membrane is where it all starts. Nestled between the boots outer top grain leather and the inner liner, this membrane keeps water out while letting your perspiration vapor escape. As part of Sidis waterproof guarantee, EVERY boot produced is tested for waterproofness and breathability. And, to make sure the whole boot breathes the way it should, all leather and other textile materials used to construct Sidi GORE-TEX boots are tested for breathability as well. So go on take that extra step. Take it in total comfort because youre wearing Sidi GORE-TEX boots!

These fit and feel great right out of the box. I am hard to fit, with wide hooves (EEE) and high arches and instep. I find the width in these boots to be perfectly comfortable for me and they can only get better as I break them in. I can move my toes freely, even splay them open a bit, which for me equals all day comfort.
Very stylish, in typical Sidi fashion... I find them to be kinda classy, not at all over the top.
Great support and traction, no hot spots or pinching anywhere. The toe box is generous on these boots so you may need some time to adapt your shifting technique.
I am pretty sure these will be the boots I wear on next year's 7000 mile tour!

Arai Signet-Q Hi-Viz Neon Helmet The Signet-Q takes all the favorite features of the RX-Q and create a whole new series based on all the successes. On the outside, the Arai Signet-Q Helmet looks very similar to it's namesake, the RX-Q, but on the inside you can see and feel the difference. A longer shell shape on the Arai Signet-Q Helmet gives 5mm more space front to back allowing for a larger number of heads to fit comfortably. The shape of the Arai Signet-Q Helmet releases forehead pressures and eliminate hot spots for a more comfortable fit every time. This shape works best for riders with a long oval headshape. Additional Features of the Arai Signet-Q Helmet Both the top vent set and side exhaust cowls are direct carryovers from the RX-Q Brow vent ducting redirects to flow air across the temples DDL-4 exhaust vent to the 10mm wider eye port (5mm on each side) Long Oval Fit SAI MAX-Vision Brow Vent shield Clear Pinlock Max-Vision Brow Vent Pinlock lens included Elongated shell adds 5mm from front to back Long-Oval shape helps prevent Hot-Spot Multi-Density Single piece EPS liner Removable, replaceable, washable interior Dry-Cool Surface material for rapid displacement of heat and moisture away from your head and into the ventilation airflow for added comfort while riding and a quick dry between rides 5mm peel-away temple pads adds another level of customization, giving the helmet interior a little extra width when needed Enhanced for customizable micro fitment interior without the need to purchase extra interior components New FCS (Facial Contour Support) cheek pad design Innovative and exclusive spring support adds just the right amount of pressure when needed while being worn Meets or exceeds Snell and D.O.T. standards

I have been a happy rider in my old Arai Corsair, but the safety angel on my shoulder said it was time for a new lid. I am only buying hi-viz "neon" yellow gear these days so the search begins. I had tried on the amazing Schuberth C3, but that was clearly made for sphere-headed Europeans... I had to take it off immediately. Too bad, as I really wanted a modular and the Schuberth is a great helmet. Back to the Arais for me. . .
The Corsair I had been riding was very comfortable, but alas is not available in the hi-viz color yet. I looked at both the RX-Q and the Signet-Q options from Arai. My noggin measures at about 58 cm (depending on haircut) which suggested I might fit snugly in the Medium size bucket. The Medium was a bit too snug for my liking... it might work for me as a track day only helmet, but not for all-day sport touring. So I went back to the Large size that had worked well for me in the Arai Corsair. I then took a perfect-fitting hat and measured the length and width -- my head was 8 inches long and 6 inches wide. I think this is almost exactly the profile the Arai designers had in mind when they created the Signet-Q. I measured the new Signet-Q and confirmed these proportions -- we have a "keeper"!
I ordered the Signet-Q in Large, and it is a perfect fit. Comfortable, no slop, and no pressure points anywhere. There is enough room if needed for a thin Heat-Block beanie or a balaclava if needed. As mentioned the sizing chart suggests I could fit into a Medium but reality says "no way". My advice is to try 2 sizes if your measurements are near the low or high limits shown in the sizing guides.
Airflow is pretty good in the Signet-Q. . . not quite as good as the Corsair, but sufficient. It is a comfortable helmet to wear, reasonably quiet, with good aerodynamics. The hi-viz color is great to have -- I love seeing addled/distracted/idiotic cage drivers doing double-takes when they see me. That's the whole point: THEY SEE ME!!
If Arai would make a superior-quality modular helmet (in Hi-Viz) I would be buying it immediately. I need a modular in the collection -- since I already know the Schuberth won't fit me, the Shoei Neotec is the only other contender, and that one is not available in the hi-viz livery. Let's go, Arai. . . you can own this category if you want!

I am a fan of the Olympia products and have owned a couple of their jackets ans pants over the years. I wanted a hi-viz yellow mesh jacket for summer riding, and this was it. I have used this jacket in temps from the low 70's to the upper 80's/ low 90's and it is extremely comfortable. I ride a fully faired sport tourer and the ventilation is welcome in the hot months. I am generally not a fan of the Olympia multi-layer shell system, but I don't use their products that way, so problem solved. I carry separate rain overgear for the occasional shower. Otherwise, the only complaint has to do with the stupidly-sized cell phone pocket inside the jacket-- Olympia has had more than enough time to get their offshore suppliers to make a pocket to fit iPhones/Droids/HTCs etc. It's just plain lazy to not fix this.

Thank you Sidi! I have some of the hardest-to-fit feet (and legs) imaginable: size 10 (euro 44) hooves with a real EEE width, somewhat high arches and a very high instep. Legs are huge, with 19+ inch calfs (no implants here, just genetics and exercise). Needless to say, it is a rare day I can find anything that I can get into easily, let alone wear with comfort right out of the box.
In true Revzilla fashion, I ordered these, the last pair in my size, on a Thursday and received them Friday. Open the box and am greeted with that unmistakeable smell: the outstanding reek of quality and luxury. These boots are beautifully made and detailed. Onto the feet they go...
What a surprise! They went on easily with no struggling to clear my instep through the vamp, the width was ample enough for my wide feet, with even enough clearance for a sort of pre-bunion pressure point on my right great toe. (Many times I need to use a boot stretcher to gain a bit more width on conventionally lasted boots). The tall boots actually accommodated my Popeye-like legs with enough velcro on the uppers to close securely, and the shin guard is positioned precisely where it will offer maximum protection to the shinbones. There are no hot spots in these boots, no binding or pressure on the anklebones, none of the usual concerns. Simply, the most comfortable big boots imaginable.
These are big, meaning substantial and tall. My pair weighs in at exactly 6 pounds (size 10/44), so I won't be looking forward to much hiking or a gasoline walk of shame in these, but for sitting on my sport tourer for hours or days on end I am going to be comfortable and completely protected which is what this boot is all about. (For comparison, my Sidi Vertigo's weigh in at exactly 4 pounds). The soles are extremely grippy and quite flexible so you won't be stumbling around like Frankenstein. You are not going to have the same "feel" or agility with these as you will with a lighter race/track oriented boot, but those boots are not capable of offering the bomb-proof protection of the Adventure Gore-Tex's.
To sum up: I am delighted to find exactly the boot I wanted that actually fits ME, comfortably and securely. These are extremely well-made, probably among the best in the category. I have had good experiences with Sidi products in the past, and these boots probably make me a Sidi-only buyer for life.
Yes, I recommend this product.
