I love these boots. They provide excellent protection with great style. On the comfort side they seemed really stiff at first, but they are wearing in and getting more comfortable each time I wear them.

I purchased the Dark Smoke shield to supplement the clear shield that came with the XD3. I was a bit worried the dark would be too dark, but now that I've used it I'm finding it perfect for sunny days.
Not having owned an Arai helmet before, I was wondering how easy it would be to fit the new shield. Armed with a small coin to unscrew the peak and the clear shield I fitted the dark one very easily. It was a lot easier than some other helmets I've owned.
In summary I'm really pleased I ordered this shield.

Water protection vs. Goretex version?
Hey guys - great site. In the video review of the Adventure Rain boot, Anthony refers to it as "waterproof". How much additional water protection would I have if I spent the additional $$$ on the Goretex version?
I bought the Adventure Rain boots instead of the Goretex version. My reasoning was that I'd be paying for the Goretex brand name for little, if any, extra benefit.
