It is by far the best technical, stay dry, warm, moisture evacuating jacket you could ever buy. I did extensive research looking for the right jacket and everywhere I turned lead me to the Klim lineup. Sitting on top of that lineup was the Valdez jacket. I had a hard time justifying paying the price for a shell with no insulation but after spending time blasting down icy snowmobile trails and boondocking in deep powder snow you soon realize the benefit of a layering system. On days +3 to -5 degrees Celsius I wear a long sleeve t-shirt, sweater and this jacket. On colder days I add a fleece jacket and I really can't tell I am not wearing an insulated jacket. There is a ton of storage in the pockets, a nifty key holder in one and the outside chest pocket has a hole on the inside for ear buds so you can feed the buds up thru and only have to open the outside pocket to play with the iPod or phone and not have to undo the jacket.
The arms are pre-curved in an attack position and was the only shell jacket in their lineup with hand gaiters. Other jackets had the wrist gaiter only.
The gore tex pro shell does it job very well and keeping out moisture and wind and keeping in the warmth. I was very surprised at how well the comfort mapping works and was the main reason I picked this over the storm and tomahawk.
The jacket fits true to size so if your an XL like me then order the XL. There is enough room for a fleece jacket underneath and if your planning on layering there is no need to buy a size bigger. This shell is made that way for a reason. I am 6'1" 250 lbs. and for you bike guys out there I wear a 2xl Icon overlord prime hero jacket and although I haven't tried it yet I think it may fit under my Valdez jacket for those cold spring rides in April we have here in Canada.
Yes, I recommend this product.

It's hard to get past the price when you first glance at this glove. But once you hit the trails on a subzero day you start to notice how great this glove really is. I like the fact that the liner is stitched in and you don't have to worry about pulling out the liner everytime you take your hand out. When you pound the snowmobile trails hard and you really start working your hands stay dry and not clammy....gore tex working at its best. External seams add to the comfort and the glove offers great protection. My one beef with Klim is they need more short cuffed gloves in their lineup. I am not a fan of long gloves but bought these because I wanted the warmth and protection that the powder cross doesn't offer. These gloves are a little bulky up your arm and can fit under most jackets but are tight. They are meant more for outside the jacket but that's not my style.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I picked up the mirror silver shield and I love it with my black salvo. It's not as dark as the gold mirror and I don't mind if I have to use it at night. The gold was almost impossible to use at night.

I love this helmet right out of the box. It's different, get lots of stares and the visor feature really works well. I do have some issues:
1.) the chin is longer then my airframe and when shoulder checking it brings up in my shoulder. This forces me to raise my body from the sportbike position and look over my shoulder with my chin raised. Or I remove my hand from the side I am looking and sit up and twist my body.
2.) Changing the shield is one of the biggest issues most complained about when I researched this helmet and I think those people are lazy. The helmet takes a couple extra minutes tops. I change my shield almost ever day and it's not that hard. We just got used to how easy some other helmets are and that spoils us. I do have one small problem. The shield has to small tabs to hook in the gears if the helmet and I don't feel it's going to last. It hasn't broke on me yet but I feel it might.
Overall this helmet works for sportbike riders and there isn't any wind issues when your obeying the law on back roads or highways. I have went much higher in speeds as well with this helmet haven't noticed any extra wind force over my airframe as long as I was in the race tuck.
The visor works well on sunny days which was the main reason I bought it when traveling to and from work. I ride east and west so I get the sun both ways.
The salvo version has cool graphics and not what I expected for reflective graphics. I thought it would have been 3m reflective material but icon has changed it up a bit and added some sparkles to it. I wasn't impressed at first then it grew on me.
For reference I wear a xl airframe and I bought a xl variant. The cheeks are tighter but the top of the head is looser then the airframe. I am 6'1" and weigh 245lbs. I have a big head with fat cheeks so for you athletic guys with bigger heads and slimmer builds you may want a size smaller.
The helmet comes with a bag, removable chin curtain, visor cloth and empty icon spray bottle for some soapy water to be put in. A flat key for removing the screws to take off the shield is also in there but any coin or flat screw driver will do.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I have been eyeing this jacket for the better part of a year and today it came in the mail. First of all I wanted a jacket for colder weather and it had to have a couple things. Leather, style and no perforation in the chest. This jacket has all that, but for colder weather your going to get cold arms. They flow too well. This jacket was designed for warmer climates and not colder canadian seasons we experience here in Newfoundland. If the liner had sleeves this jacket may have been perfect. I was also worried about fitment being a bigger guy who carries a bit of a spare tire around the waist, I am 6'1" 245lbs with a 47" chest, I ordered a 2xl and I thought I might have problems but the jacket fits perfect. Tall lanky guys may actually find this jacket loose around the waist. I still have room for a sweater, but extras like a wallet and smartphone are about all you can carry. I rode tonight in 12 Celsius and with the sun down I wish I had worn my sweater instead of short sleeved tshirt because of the air flow in the arms but my chest was warm. The prime hero has no perf in the chest while the prime does. The skull logo is the reason they changed it to no perf on the chest. External protectors are awesome as well.

I bought this jacket for my wife who is chilly by nature. Every sled trip we make she gets cold even when layered up. Since we received this jacket she has no complaints and wants to keep riding instead of stopping to warm up or return home. No I can finally enjoy snowmobiling with my wife.
