Corse's Reviews

Dainese New Drake Air Textile Pants Drake pants will surely interest anyone who loves to ride his or her bike especially in the warmer months without wearing a suit or leather pants in order to obtain the protection required. These previously contrasting needs have now been perfectly reconciled by Drake fabric pants. Ample air vents in fretted fabric with closing on the thighs permit fresh air to enter during riding for cooling relief on even the hottest days. When temperatures begin to drop, the air vents can be closed. Safety is guaranteed by removable composite protections in the knee and shins, while extra-strength Cordura 750 fabric offers protection in case of fall. The elastic inserts in the knee optimise the wearability of the article, which is equally suited to metropolitan motorcycle use. Features Removable composite protectors. Cordura fabric 750. Suretta fabric. Perforated fabric. Insert in elasticated fabric. Soft inserts. Calf zip. Jacket-trousers fastening system. Adjustable waist. Sanityzed lining.

As always, Dainese makes an excellent product. Quite satisfied with the New Drake as like my other Dainese gear (leather Zen jacket, racing gloves, Air 2 Tex jacket). This is my upgrade from my Triumph's Raptor mesh pants which I love for the last 6 years. The New Drake is BETTER. It has better fit and better protection. I just used the size chart from Revzilla with my own measurements and got a 56. I wear 36x30 jeans. The New Drake is slightly loose when standing up, but fits PERFECTLY in my Ducati 1098S riding position. The knee and hip pads are snug and positioned where it's supposed to be. The pants fits snug over my Sidi racing boots and there are no loose flopping around at high speeds. There's enough air from the vents on-top of the thighs to even cool your legs comfortably in upper 90's to low triple digit hot & DRY Utah weather- not sure about the humid East Coast weather. Overall, EXTREMELY SATISFIED with the New Drake pants.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Do they make these pants in "tall" sizes?

I've noticed in some of the comments that these pants are a bit short. Which means they'd look like capri pants on my tall, thin frame. Will tall sizes become available on these pants?
I doubt it. But if you are wearing motorcycle riding boots or racing boots that cover up to the shins, it really doesn't matter if the pants come up a bit if your wearing the pants OVER the boots. Watch or look at some of the professional racing pics like Rossi or Pedrosa especially since he's a short shrimp. Their leather pants come well above the ankles, but doesn't look too bad when you're wearing those cool looking racing boots under the pants.

But, if your just wearing sneakers with these pants, they would definitely look like capris and you wouldn't look so cool.

im very interested in this item, but is there an attachment for dainese knee sliders?

No attachments for racing knee sliders in the New Drake. For Dainese, they only use the knee sliders in there leather pant or racing suit products. You may want to look into the Pro Delta perforated leather pants for hot weather riding.
