Arai Signet-Q Helmet - Solid Colors The Signet-Q takes all the favorite features of the RX-Q and create a whole new series based on all the successes. On the outside, the Arai Signet-Q Helmet looks very similar to it's namesake, the RX-Q, but on the inside you can see and feel the difference. A longer shell shape on the Arai Signet-Q Helmet gives 5mm more space front to back allowing for a larger number of heads to fit comfortably. The shape of the Arai Signet-Q Helmet releases forehead pressures and eliminate hot spots for a more comfortable fit every time. This shape works best for riders with a long oval headshape. Additional Features of the Arai Signet-Q Helmet Both the top vent set and side exhaust cowls are direct carryovers from the RX-Q Brow vent ducting redirects to flow air across the temples DDL-4 exhaust vent to the 10mm wider eye port (5mm on each side) Long Oval Fit SAI MAX-Vision Brow Vent shield Clear Pin Lock Max-Vision Brow Vent pinlock lense included. Elongated shell adds 5mm from front to back Long-Oval shape helps prevent Hot-Spot Multi-Density Single piece EPS liner Removable, replaceable, washable interior Dry-Cool Surface material for rapid displacement of heat and moisture away from your head and into the ventilation airflow for added comfort while riding and a quick dry between rides 5mm peel-away temple pads adds another level of customization, giving the helmet interior a little extra width when needed Enhanced for customizable micro fitment interior without the need to purchase extra interior components New FCS (Facial Contour Support) cheek pad design Innovative and exclusive spring support adds just the right amount of pressure when needed while being worn Meets or exceeds Snell and D.O.T. standards

I've been wearing the Shoei RF-1100 in Medium for a little over a year now. I recently attended and Arai factory demo day at a local dealership and ended up trying on various models. My head measures 57cm or just a tad over which puts me in the Medium range according to their sizing chart. The Medium for the Signet Q was too big. The small fit snug and comfortable. The only complaint I have is with the chin strap cover. It needs to be 10-15mm longer. While it was not a reason for me to not buy the helmet, it is the only part of the helmet that is not comfortable. I'm assuming after a few hundred miles or several weeks of wearing it the strap will soften up a bit. Other than that, great helmet.
I was surprised that the small fit so well. If you are considering the Signet Q, you might want to size down if you are on the borderline with their sizing chart. As the Arai rep told me," if between sizes, go smaller.."

I wanted something that provided more protection for my daily commute and the Apex caught my eye. I feel that I have a better chance of staying protected with these underneath me than some of the other boot/shoe options out there. While I typically wear a 43 (9.5) in Nike, I ended up getting both the 43 and 42 based on some other reviews. Glad I did. Neither of these sizes felt either too big or too small. Both were comfortable to me. However my foot seemed to slip a little in the 43 and I did not want to take the change of it coming off in the event of an accident. After all, I bought these for protection. What good would they be if they ended up coming off. So the 42 worked perfectly for me and I am returning the 43. Love the Revzilla return policy. Sure it will cost a little in return shipping but I needed something quick and did not want to play the back and forth shipping game while I found the right size. Also, the ability to put one size of each on different feet was a huge factor in deciding which size was the best for me.

As with any overpant, the Axis is a roomy. However Revit has designed it in such a way so you don't look like the Michelin man walking around in them. I wear these for my daily comment and appreciate the double zippers which allow me to put them on and take them off while wearing jeans and my riding boots.
I have not worn them in the rain yet so I cannot comment on the waterproofing, but they seem to breathe just fine in warmer weather and keep me warm enough on those cool mornings during the ride in.
If you are considering a pair of overpants, I would definitely put these on your consideration list.

Picked up the GP-R after doing a bunch of research. Living in a warmer climate I wanted something that was breathable yet gave me the protection of leather. Enter the GP-R. At a 43" chest I picked up a size 54. Perfect fit. Snug in all the right places but doesn't bind at all. Airflow is noticeable on those warm days. For cooler mornings I throw on an extra layer to add a little bit of warmth.
If you are considering purchasing this jacket, go for it. I don't think you will regret the purchase.

This is my second Shoei. My first one was purchased a couple of decades ago and wow..how times have changed. This helmet fits me perfectly like any in the Shoei lineup. It's light, has good airflow, and noise is not really an issue. I appreciate the ease at which the visor can be swapped out and the lines of this thing. It just looks fast. No, it's not the cheapest helmet out there but not the most expensive. If the RF-1100 is in your price range and fits, get it. Money well spent.

Icon Brawnson Textile Overpants Understated style that goes over-the-top is the best way to describe the Brawnson Textile Overpants. Icon's relaxed fit and ultra-tough 900 denier chassis is a no B.S. combination. What else would you expect from a pant called Brawnson Remember the Brawnsons are an 'overpant' which means they are already sized up on size. Therefore buy a size 34 to wear over your size 34 jeans. If your plan on running your Brawnson's commando then buy one size smaller than your normal waist size. Icon loose overpant fit pattern Durable nylon chassis Removable/adjustable ce knee impact protectors Large thigh pockets with zipper closures

What is the zipper configuration?

Easy or difficult to put on over boots?
As with most over pants, it's still a little chore to get these on over boots. There's always mornings where they will just glide over footwear but for the most part, you'll spend about 10 seconds pulling them around your favorite riding footwear.

 Sidi Sport Rain Boots
Sidi Sport Rain Boots
Sidi, continuously researching new technological solutions to enhance rider safety, is proud to present the new 2008 Sport Rain boot. With Sidis great style, feel, support and quality there are no finer performance off road boots in the world. Non-Bootie Designs Sidi boots do not incorporate inner booties into their design, and for good reason. Booties make the design larger and cumbersome add to the boots thickness, which interferes with shifting, plus the inner booties retain body heat affecting the riders performance and comfort. Lining Each boot is lined throughout with lightweight perforated Teflon treated fabric in order to allow moisture to breath out to the Lorica outer and dry quickly with no mold build up in the long term. Additionally the inner ankle area of all Strada series boots are fully lined with Sidis own formula of perforated closed thousand-air cell memory foam. A totally breathable lining system. Composite Insole Sidi is the only manufacture to use a composite insole that is anatomically shaped to the rider. A cushioned liner is provided that can be removed if the rider desires a more roomy fit. Sidi does not use steel shanks riveted to its insole like most manufactures, details such as this enable Sidi boots to enjoy a multi year service life versus the competitors multi month lifespan as over time, a steel shank can deteriorate, rust and fracture exposing the rider to injury. Lorica Boot's outer is fully constructed with Lorica, a composite micro fiber material created from strands less than one thousandth the thickness of silk. When injected with special resins, these fibers act like natural leather skin, but with the addition of better strength, softer texture, lighter weight and better moisture protection. Lorica is also highly resistant to abrasion - yet it still breathes - with more than three million pores per square centimeter. Easy to maintain, Lorica doesnt stain and cant be scratched and offers, reduced weight, more flexibility and more feel than leather racing boots. Features A mid height boot Membrane equipped to add a water resistant yet breathable barrier between the elements and the riders feet Lorica outer construction Perforated Teflon treated nylon lining Composite inner sole Removable arch support Internal heel protection Internal ankle protection Internal toe protection Zipper and Velcro closure system Non-slip lug sole Lorica toe shift pad Double stitched in all high stress areas Reflective heel panel Thousand air cell padded shin area Quilted calf area for comfort

What is the fit like? Normally wear and 8 1/2 or 9 normal width. Best size?

If you are between those two sizes I would look at the 9 in this model. I typically wear a thicker sock in my riding boots and the little extra space helps out without feeling too big.

How is the fit compared to RF-1000

I have a RF-1000 and I was wondering if the fit would be the same if I were to buy the RF-1100
The fit is very similar to it's predecessor. I was a MD in both models.

Jacket Fit?

I have a 44 inch chest but i am a short guy and have shorter arms than a normal person would have who has a 44 inch chest I am only 5'5" Is the 44 inch jacket going to be to long for me in the arms and should i go with the 42? will it fit right?
I would choose chest size over sleeve length. I too am a 44 and only slightly taller than you. Sleeves can always be take in but you won't be able to add additional chest room if it's not enough.

Does these pants make noise when walking?

Hi, just wondering if these pants make the typical noise that the waterproof textiles do when you walk. Thanks.
There is some noise. But nothing like some other textile pants I tried on. I've worn corduroy (back in the day) that made more noise than these.
