It appears that this small tank bag will be just what I was looking for. It holds my cell phone in the top for easy viewing if I need it for navigation.

Canyon Dancer Bar Harness II Features a glass filled injection molded polycarbonate cup with steel lay-in that replaces the old handlebar cuff Cross straps are held further away from switchgear Cups eliminate possible damage to soft grips and hold the cross straps further out on the bars to clear a wider variety of fairing Cups are sized to fit the fattest grips in the industry Steel D-ring lat-ins prevent losses even after many years of weather and abuse begin to weaken the polycarbonate cup Heavier thread with more stitches for greater strength

Although I have only used Firstgear Laguna Aero Pack to and from the office and only with my laptop it doesn't have much room. I bought it to use for commuting but also for longer overnight trips. I am going to Indianapolis for the MotoGP this weekend and was planning to use the pack for a change of clothes and shoes. I will only be able to get shoes, toothbrush and underwear in it plus SLR digital camera and small binoculars in the top of it. I am going to a route to Indy that will let me enjoy some twisties so I will know after this weekend how noticeable it is both at some higher speeds and in the curves. Because of its shape and size and light weight because of its size I think I will not notice it while riding
