Well this is the 6th jacket that I have purchased for myself in the past 8 years and the third major article from KLIM.
Like the old attage goes, "You always get what you pay for,..." So the bottom line is that I simply Love this jacket and its features. It did take me two tries before I got the sizing right, but then that seems to be the underlying issue with all of the KLIM products. All other jackets, regardless of brand, had to be 2XL for me. This one required the XL and that one fits "nearly perfect". The one and Only gripe is the room (or lack of) in the actual lower bicep and elbow area. Snug enought in the XL that I'm gonna have to be carfull about under layers in this area once temperatures start to drop later in the year.
The honest truth is I just got this jacket in today and have yet to put a single mile on or any sweat in it at all.
I will be posting once this happens for a COBDR next month.
Oh yeah, I have the Hi-Vis and love the contrast with the black. By the way, "This jacket is a heavy beast".

I've been looking for a replacement for a 4 year old ONeal Tool Pouch, which was absolutely perfect. My needs related to true Multi-Day Dual Sport travel. This Kriega is about as close as I could get to my actual needs. Short comings were it simply need to be a bit larger; i.e. more slots to handle full size 3/8" drive tools, and a second "Large" zippered pouch.
I now still carry a second Wolf man Pac single pouch in order to hold all my larger (longer) drivers, end wrenches and a multitude of about 20 different sockets. (Thanks BMW, how about making up your minds about the type of driver heads, and just use one; not 4 different types.)

Needed and used these with the New SHOEI X2 dual sport helmet. I got the thinnest cheek pads that SHOEI offer and still could use a set another 2mm thinner.
My next option is the take out the cheek pads and cut away or remove enough of the foam layers until I get a more comfortable fit.

Shoei Hornet X2 Seeker Adventure Helmet What's in a name Call it the Shoei Hornet X2 Adventure Helmet, the Shoei Hornet ADV Helmet, or just the Shoei Hornet Adventure - a rose by any other name would be as equally prepared for the street or trail. Did not get this helmet from ZLA, but wanted to post on here since I usually get most of my gear from here. I finally decided to spring for the $$ bucks and get the brand that I know always fits my head. I got the Seeker in the Orange and black since it looked killer on the images. But Wait..... The orange is the Blaze Orange and not the "sunset orange" as depicted here. That was a bit of a let down, since I was trying to match my other gear and bike accents on my F800GS. Not a deal breaker but a little bit of a let down. But you're reading this for the sake of the function of the helmet, not merely cosmetics.
Fit ________ Ouch; at least at first. I have 3 other SHOEI's in the XL. I thought my ears and cheeks were gonna tear off when pulling this thing on. (At first anyway), but once I got the lid fully on. Not quite so bad. Wore it 20 miles on the way home. Well; OK I can deal with this. Took it out 200 miles this Sunday afternoon; and in the rain. I think I'm liking this Can better all the time. Bottom line, the new SHOEI's including the NEOTECs, simply fit a lot more snug and overall fit the cheek and chin areas better, than the Qwest or for certain, than the MULTITECs. It takes a bit of getting use to is all, but I do have a thinner set of cheek pads coming (once they are received by suppliers) nonetheless. Quiet____ Perfectly quiet?; not quite. A lot better however, especially with a bit of a "real" windshield. I tried this helmet when riding my larger K1200LT (larger V-Stream) and even with the bill on, you'd never know you had a dual sport helmet on. Wind flow? Let's not kid ourselves here. Wind Flow = Noise. A quiet helmet, will inherently be restricting the flow of cooler air into and around the helmet. Did SHOEI do a good design trying to maintain decent air flow? Yes.
Is this a cool helmet? Not exactly. We all know you have a trade-off on these two properties. Lets just not kid ourselves about the Air-Flow requirements here.
I have not yet put my SENA headset onto this helmet yet, nor Have I tested the PINLOCK system on the X2. I have Pinlocks on all my other helmets so I'm expecting the same positive results here.
Bottom Line, I have no regrets springing over $600. on this helmet.

I fell in love with the looks of this new glove and fitment system. The ZLA video presentation sold me on the glove but I had to perservere quite a bit to finally get a pair here. The supplies simply havent arrived in enough volume. Finally gave up on my 1st color choice and accepted my second choice. When the Blue on White pair showed up, I was pleasantly surprised to find the white to be more of a dull bone or ivory in color. That's actually better in my opinion. The look is simply killer. Now the reality. Fit is very tight, especially getting my hand through the actual knuckle area of the glove. I measured 9.75" (very loose at that) and according to the charts a 10" is XL, which is what I ordered. Have to pull hard to get my knuckle area through the upper wrist portion of the glove. Once on, I only have about 1/4" of actual Hook and Loop section to fasten on the wrist band. This band section needs to be 3/8" longer. Finger length, perfect. No extra length here, and I Do Not have long fingers by no means.
Bottom line, if you are within 1/2" of the "sizing Steps", by all means go up to the next glove size. My own Opinion on this of course. Leather may stretch over time. If is does, fantastic then.

Only worn these for less than 500 miles of travel, but can already tell these will definitely be my first "go-to" choice for anything but the very hottest of days.
Got these with the intent on these performing as my Primary Glove for an upcoming Texas to Canada (TCAT) 3 week ride/trip this August/September.
Maybe a better follow up review after that is in order.
Size fits exactly as the SIZE Guide recommends. I have these in the 10 and they fit just a small tiche on the tight size, but can already tell, that 4 or 5k miles of sweat will take care of that.
A Very, Very good feel for this glove. Finger tip length is excellant. (Unless you have Piano fingers maybe) I absolutely love the slightly longer cuff on the outside of the hand/wrist area. I could do without such a hard knuckle protection mold, but thats just me. If I were to go down hard and slap that portion of my hand, I'm sure I would retract that part of this review.
Love this glove.

Haven't had to use them yet, but have them neatly packed away in the bottom of my panniers. I had to get my own small nylon packing bag for these, but other than that, a great addition to your tool neccessities.
Great choice of wire gauge and the 8 ft. length is perfect. Long enough to work with, yet short enough not be too big to carry and forget.

This is definitely Not your typical beginner jacket for the weekend warrior or the Run to the neighborhood Bar, Look Good, kind of jacket.
This is the third jacket that I've acquired for my girlfriend. We needed an across county, 4000 mile, multi-state touring jacket for all environments and temps ranging from Upper 30's to high 80's kind of top apparel.
Jacket had to be somewhat stylish with plenty of features, yet fit properly around the female form. FirstGear hit a home run with this one. Love the vents, love the pocket and vent set up and the built in hood feature .......
Once you've been in a cold heavy rain And you've had this feature, you Will require it in every other 3-season jacket you look at.
May be a bit pricey for some, but if you really ride your bike, you simply can't skimp on your protection and comfort.
( and much cheaper than a 1 carat diamond!)

Heidenau K60 Scout Rear Tire A true 50/50 dual sport tire, the Heidenau K60 Scout brings a proven balance of performance on- and off-road. With an improved tread and compound, the Heidenau K60 Scout dual sport tires deliver better cornering stability and wet weather grip on the pavement, while delivering off-road as well. The chevron style tread pattern is similar to full knobby designs which provides lots of open space between the tread blocks to route sand, mud and water from the contact patch while constantly keeping some rubber in contact with the road as the tire rotates. This tire is a stand-out as it does not sacrifice on-road longevity and adhesion to the pavement for off-road traction. A difficult feat for any tire to accomplish. TL Tubeless TT Tube Type Tire Please Note The K60 Scout tread pattern will vary depending on tire size. 170/60B17 has a wider flat center tread as depicted in the 2nd image.

My F800GS call for the 150/70-17 size, which I have been running now for the last 20k miles. But wanted a tread pattern missing the center continuous tread, so based on photo's alone, thought that by going down one size (to the 140/80) I would be getting the continuous Chevron tread pattern and the continuous center rib absent. Well I was wrong. In this 17" rim size the 150 and the 140 look nearly identical to one another. Only the 18" rim size has the true chevron pattern across the center area of the tread. Still a good tire, but that was I get for not doing more research ahead of time. (And for not riding the Big Orange wave as well.) Lucky KTM riders get the better Off-Road Tread option in my opinion.
Revzilla is still the best.

Bought these for my Girl Friend and Riding Partner in Crime. We were looking for a set of Comfortable, Wind Deterrent, Water Proof pair of overpants that fit her hips but didn't just openly gap open at the waist. Read the review from others, and then went for it based on comments. She absolutely loves the fit. (And I love the looks...) No more just "put a mans cut on a woman's figure" with this product. Will be taking these on a 10 day tour in January, so will know much more then about the wind and water proofness of these pants. Unfortunately the inner liner appears (at least initially) to be not much more than a simple plastic liner. No breathability whatsoever. Maybe this will come in handy on super cold days. Only time will tell.
Overall we love this product, but would gladly have spent a few more dollars to make the waterproof liner from a "breathable" type of material.
Yes, I recommend this product.
