Base Layer fabric is 50 lighter than the standard cotton TShirt. After 60 minutes of exercise the Base Layer fabric releases 80 of its moisture after 30 minutes of rest, cotton releases only 40 of its moisture after 30 minutes of rest Made with compression garments that will hold your muscles in place longer and reduce body fatigue. Less chance for pulled and sore muscle tissue. Two different layers of fabric Inner layer contains fibers that will wick the moisture off the skin quicker, creating a cooler inner climate. Once the moisture is separated from your skin the outer layer will evaporate the moisture evenly and fast. Fabric is spun with wicking and antibacterial treatments

I wore the MSR base layer shirt at a track event this weekend. It was very cool and comfortable. The texture and compression features of the fabric are quite nice.
The sleeves were a bit short on me as opposed to the Under Armour shirt that I had been wearing. Where this shirt has sleeves that were an inch too short the Under Armour shirt had sleeves that were an inch or so too long. Given the choice I'd go with the shirt with the short sleeves.
The snug fit was also much nicer under all my gear than something that has lots of extra material around the middle.
I recommend the MSR base layer shirt without reservation.

REV'IT! Athos Air Vest In order to remain highly visible in traffic without compromising on airflow, REV'IT! developed the Athos Air vest as the summer edition of the popular Athos vest. The front and back panels are made of fully perforated PWR shell mesh EN471 certified fabric. Stretch panels at the side ensure that the Athos Air vest fits easily over any summer mesh jacket in the REV'IT! collection, so air flows directly to your body through 2 layers of mesh fabric

I purchased the Athos Air Vest and am very impressed by the design and style and the quality of the materials and construction.
At previous track events I had worn the loaner safety vests provided by the organizers. They were cheap $10 or $20 safety vests that didn't fit particularly well, had lousy straps, and had essentially seen better days. I decided to buy my own vest that would fit better over my one-piece suit. The size X-Large fit perfectly over my Rev'It Stingray in a size 54.
The vest is actually a very attractive lime green color, has Scotchlite reflective tape incorporated front and rear and is very form fitting.
It'll be great both on and off the track and will probably be used more often than I expected on the street.
It was worth buying a more expensive vest and I recommend it without reservation.

I bought a couple pair of Aggressor briefs for track day riding and had a chance to try them last weekend. They were nicer and even more comfortable than I expected them to be. I washed them last night and they came through the wash just fine. I'm sure I'll be wearing these more often than I originally planned.
I would recommend them without reservation.

Finally had the chance to wear the Portland 2 jacket on the bike. It's been siting in the closet for a long, long time.
The jacket is everything I expected it to be. Stylish, comfortable (even in heat and humidity#, and protective.
Dainese products in general have some very nice features #e.g. high quality zippers and snaps and a nice mix of fabrics, etc.); the Portland 2 is no exception.
In my experience you can buy Dainese products with confidence.

I received the Avro D-Dry jacket last week. It fits the same as my other size 50 jacket from Dainese; so sizing appears to be consistent across these two components of the Dainese product line.
The styling and colors of the red/white/black jacket are terrific. The jacket shows great attention to detail and the jacket has great inherent features.
The only thing I'm not crazy about from a design perspective is the tall Idra collar. But having said that the purpose of the Idra collar isn't style - it's functionality. It's intended to keep wind and water off the throat area and it appears it's likely to do that quite well.
The jacket was purchased as a Spring/Fall jacket that would serve as a complement to my Summer jacket. By the time I ordered it and it arrived from Italy the temperatures had already increased to Summer levels so I haven't ridden in the jacket yet. But every indication is that it'll be a great jacket.

I originally ordered the Silverstone t-shirt in a Large. The Revzilla staff suggested I order the t-shirt in an Extra-Large due to the European fit and I changed the order accordingly.
Even in the Extra-Large the t-shirt is tight across the chest and shoulders. So I exchanged the Extra-Large for a 2XL. The 2XL has a bit more room in the shoulders and chest so it's a better fit.
My biggest complaint with the shirt though is how thin the material is. It's not sheer by any means, but it's just a thin, lightweight cotton material.
So although the t-shirt has a lot of style, it's not a shirt that I would recommend.

Ordered both a Medium and a Large in the Jerez gloves in order to see which would fit best on my moderately short-fingered hands.
The Medium turned out to be just a bit too small as the hard parts on the top side of the fingers caused some discomfort.
The Large is just a little on the roomy side. But all in all the fit is very comfortable and similar to my Phantom GTX gloves.
The design, style and quality of the gloves is very high.
I haven't had a chance to ride in the gloves yet but I'm certain they'll meet my expectations based upon my past experience with Rev'It products.
