I have been riding with the matte black version of this helmet for about six months now, and think i have gotten a pretty good feel for it.
I havent held too many helmets, but the RF-1100 is pretty light in comparison to most. It is a really nice looking helmet, though this has attracted many to it and in southern california I probably see 1 out of every 5 riders wearing one.
They have made the shield very adjustable, which is cool in theory, but has meant I have had a difficult time fine tuning it to not whistle when i ride at freeway speeds. i also think that the chin cover is fairly worthless as it keeps little air from entering the helmet from below.
another thing to be weary of when you buy this helmet is how long it takes to break in. for the first 3 weeks, my 25 mile commute was almost unbearable because of how much pressure the cheeck pads put on my jaw. I ordered a smaller liner but by the time it came, the liner it came with had finally adjusted to my face and fit fine. i have had a few friends who bought it and returned it after a week because it was so uncomfortable to wear at first. i dont see this as a flaw, just something to knwo you're getting yourself into.
overall, i would have probably rather gone with a schuberth. the new S2 looks awesome and much quieter and more aerodynamic

Icon Reign Waterproof Boots One more product to walk out of our foul-weather development center. The Reign boot's easy access and low profile design make it an excellent choice for the daily commute or long distance travel. Rugged waterproof YKK zippers make entry and exit a snap (actually a zip). The waterproof and breathable interior mean your feet stay cool and dry even when it's neither cool nor dry outside. Protection comes by the way of durable leather and a ballistic nylon upper mated with injection molded shin and ankle plates. The lowers feature an axialmetric steel shank along with slip-resistant high friction outsoles. Even with all of these features, we still managed to make them so lightweight and comfortable you may just want to wear them year 'round. Features Durable leather and ballistic nylon upper 100 waterproof seam sealed construction Waterproof and breathable inner lining Injection molded shin and ankle plates Rubber shift interface ribs High friction Icon outsoles Axialmetric steel shank Footpeg interface arch YKK waterproof zippers

I have worn these for everything from touring the CA coast on adv bikes to around town on my bonneville to off road on racing quads. After a full day in them, i am always blown away by how comfortable they are and how they are the only item of gear I am not dying to take off. I have not worn them in the rain yet, but they held up to a day of riding through some pretty deep puddles just fine. I prefer the boots over my Dainese, which cost twice as much, for pretty much everything outside of riding on a track.
I do, however, have TWO complaints. First is that the zipper is difficult to operate as it is so fine toothed (to keep the water out) that you have to line up the two sides perfectly to get it to zip up and second, that the rubber handle on the back which i can only guess is there to help you pull them get in the way of wearing these boots under your pants (at least for dudes who wear skinny jeans).
