I couldn't be happier with the jacket--fits well (especially on the bike), feels very durable with heavy fabric and good armor, very weather resistant, and the zip-out liner makes it quite versitile. If you already have a good summer jacket, this should take care of you for the rest of the riding season.
Only complaint: it has taken weeks of riding in the wind and rain before the horrible smell of petroleum or whatever it is has finally begun to fade. Seriously, this is one rank-smelling jacket fresh out of the box.
Yes, I recommend this product.

A good value, but not enough when the weather gets truly nasty.

For the price, I can't complain about this glove. It fits well, appears to be well made, and offers sturdy looking armor. Unfortunately, it can only do so much when it's cold and wet out there; it won't take long for your fingers to go numb at the tips. They're also a bit bulky, making it somewhat cumbersome to use the controls, but I imagine this is the case for most winter gloves.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I'm afraid I haven't had as much time to test this jacket as I would like, but I don't doubt that it breathes about as well as a motorcycle jacket could. As others have mentioned, it runs small. Also, the armor could be described as "minimalistic." But if you already have a jacket for cooler weather, this could be a great addition for days that would otherwise be too hot for riding.

Alpinestars Messenger Drystar Gloves The Messenger Drystar is a lightweight all-weather riding glove designed for the city rider. The glove is well insulated and features an elasticized, contoured wrist cuff and shock cord closure to help keep the warmth in and the rain out. Alpinestars exclusive waterproof and breathable Drystar membrane helps keep the hands dry and comfortable in all conditions. Anti-slip palm construction improves grip on the riders controls. The glove is insulated with a soft fleece liner to help keep the hands warm. Elastic contoured wrist improves comfort. Shock cord cuff closure helps retain warmth and keep out moisture.

How's the liner in this gloves? Do you think it will suit for @ 30 miles commuting in cold weather/rain?

I always get stuck in traffic and it will take me @ 50 min to commute 30 miles...do you think will hold that much in the rain?
Thx
Anything beyond a drizzle will get your hands wet in these gloves after a while. Good for light rain and moderate chill--otherwise I'd look for a more waterproof glove.
