Shift Torque Street Jeans Cotton poplin reinforcement covers the Kevlar, providing a 3 rd layer for comfort against the skin. Relaxed, ergonomic fit for comfort in the saddle. Durable 13oz. Denim provides greater abrasion resistance and protection. Kevlar reinforced panels in the saddle and knee/shin provides maximum safety and abrasion resistance. Slightly longer inseam cut for optimal coverage of the ankle while on the bike. Leather reinforced panels at the lower cuffs for added durability. Jeans are a bit stiffer than regular jeans due to the kevlar (also a bit warmer, but not a ton). Fit is good, style is excellent, leg length is perfect for riding.

Does this have any back protection?
I'm guessing not, judging from the video and the description, but it can't hurt to ask.
No hard protection like on the arms, but there is some semi-rigid padding along the spine.
