 MachineartMoto X-Head DOHC
MachineartMoto X-Head DOHC
MachineartMoto X-Head DOHC Engine Guard for BMW R1200 Fits 2010-2012 R1200 models GS, RT, R X-Head DOHC covers 80 of the face of the cylinder head to protect not only the bottom initial impact area in a drop, but also the upper part of the cylinder head. Even in a driveway drop, the inertia of a fall may cause a bike to roll briefly onto the face of the cylinder before it settles down on its bottom edge. X-Heads cover more area than OEM and other aftermarket head guards. X-Head DOHC are molded in a DuPont SuperTough nylon selected for its blend of high-impact strength, temperature and UV stabilization. The injection molded shell is designed to give slightly in the event of an impact to prevent breakage. Between it and the cylinder head is a 7mm thick thermoplastic rubber liner that aids in dissipating impact force while preventing hard contact with the cylinder. Each side mounts via the included 3 stainless steel fasteners coated with Nyloc thread locking compound to assure a tight installation. X-Heads fit with BMW OEM, Adventure Designs crash bar extensions, Touratech, SW Motech, and Hepco Becker crash bars. They do not fit with Z-Tecknik bars. If your bars fit BMW's OEM cylinder guards, they will fit with the X-Heads. If your crash bars have had an impact, check that there is still a minimum of 15mm clearance between the crash bars and the X-Heads. S old in pairs.

A bit of a tight fit, but following the proper sequence, was all doable. Nice fit, good look. And expect I will only use them as cosmetic enhancements . Note: I spent more time taking off something like 20 side panel screws on the 2012 R1200RT that the part install

2012 BMW R1200RT - PCV and Autotune also, looking for a Remus Titanium exhaust

You list DynoJet Power Commander V for previous year R1200RT, but not for the 2010 - 2012. Is this something you can get? Price? Also this is a two O2 sensor system and interested in Autotune as well - price and availabilty

Lastly, are you able to get the slip on Remus Titanium exhaust

thanks, Brad
