Alpinestars SMX-2 Air Carbon Gloves With carbon protection and motocross inspired styling and comfort, the Alpinestars SMX2 Air Carbon glove makes an excellent choice for summer motorcycle riding. Utilizing an advanced leather and mesh hybrid construction, Alpinestars SMX-2 Air Carbon Glove offers the street rider superior comfort and performance while the carbon fiber knuckle and Clarino reinforced palm ensures high levels of protection. Lightweight hybrid leather and mesh upper construction offers the ideal combination of durability, abrasion resistance and comfort. Synthetic leather palm construction with Clarino reinforcements provides extra durability and protection where it is needed most. Reinforced landing zone with built in foam padding offers additional impact protection Sizing Note If you are in between sizes order a size larger, in RevZilla's experience these gloves fit slightly small.

I got the SMX-2 Air Carbon gloves and they look just as good as they do in the photos. In particular, the rubberized cuff and carbon knuckle guards make these gloves really stand out, especially on a motard or naked bike. They feel light, almost like slightly more durable dirt bike gloves, but have a mostly leather construction so should offer at least a little more protection. True to the name, they are very airy, and offer excellent feel and feedback. You can even fish credit cards out of your wallet with these babies. But the lightweight construction does make me wonder if they'll age well - I've had them for three months and there's already some fraying. The hook and loop fastener hooks on the wrist also catch the mesh upper of the fingers when removing the gloves, causing the upper to fray as well.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I'd been eyeing this baby for ages, so when it came out on sale I went for it immediately. Overall fit and finish is excellent, nothing to complain about here for Rev'It, unlike some its cheaper textile offerings. It's best to think of this as a leather sportbike-type jacket that just happens to have mesh panels on the chest, so don't expect it to be as airy as a full-mesh textile jacket like the Air. Nevertheless good for warm weather riding and is certainly more airy than full perf-leather jacket.
The arm panels, where not leather, are actually textile. I haven't broken it in yet but out of the box but it is already extremely comfy to wear. Arm and shoulder protectors are softer viscoelastic type armour and mould to your body shape. Overall a very pleasing buy.
Yes, I recommend this product.
