Arai Vector 2 Helmet - Solid The Arai Vector 2 Motorcycle Helmet is the successor to Arai's hugely popular Vector model. New features for the Vector 2 Helmet include an SAI visor similar to RX-Q and Corsair V which provides wider field of vision. A replaceable interior liner has been modified to improve air flow around the head and to provide a more comfortable fit eliminating pressure points. The ventilation system has been revamped with a larger size switch and larger rear duct which will create 50 more vacuum.. Solid Colors Frost indicates a Matte finish Diamond refers to a metallic finish with metal flake Complex Laminate Construction (CLC) shell that combines excellent shell integrity with light weight Arai's exclusive multi-density, single piece hybrid EPS liner Arai's multi-density EPS liner is like no other, comprised of up to 5 different densities in some models which is molded into a single piece The single-piece hybrid liner and its unique benefit the direct-fused contact area that each EPS call shares with its neighboring cells creates a mutual support - as one cell is crushed under impact, the surrounding cells assist with the energy absorption. (Liner pieces that are simply fitted or glued together cannot rely on such a high-level support bond.) New ACF-2 front intake vent has an oversized intake opening for better airflow, and a sliding-door mechanism to more completely close it Brow Vent Faceshield Ventilation System provides cooling air in upper face area without holes in critical forehead area of the shell or in the impact-absorbing liner material Exclusive removable 5 mm Peel - away Cheek and Temple Pad layer-provides additional level of customization and fitment Extreme peripheral view - same wider field of side to side visibility as the top-of-the-line Corsair V racing helmet (an additional 5mm on each side when compared to to previous Vector model) New tuned rear vent/wing - Air inlets provide improved interior ventilation and heat removal Hyper-Ridge band - newly sculpted lower reinforcement band provides stability and lower center of gravity for a lightweight feeling. Larger side exhaust ports to increase airflow and minimize noise Dual pivot chin vent to direct air to the rider or the shield for de-misting Reinforced shell ridges with integrated side exhaust vents Larger bottom opening for easier on and off Removable/replaceable cheek pads with 5mm peel-away layer Micro-fitting 5mm peel away cheek pad layer first introduced on the RX-Q comes standard on the Vector 2. Gives you the option of a thinner cheek pad set for a custom fit without having to purchase additional cheek pads Expanding on the 5mm peel-away cheek pads, the Arai Vector 2 is the first Arai model to offer 5mm peel away temple pads as well Interior Shape Intermediate Oval - This shape is designed for the rider whose head has a front-to-back dimension that is longer than the side-to-side dimension. This is a neutral head-shape design which tends to fit most riders well. Meets or exceeds Snell M2010 and D.O.T. standards

Just like my XD3 and my RXQ, My Arai Vector-2 helmet is comfortable and most importantly, one of the safest helmets you can buy. I think i actually get more airflow with my vector than my rxq. I will say that i received one of the very first Vector-2 Hi-Vis models in January, and the paint did fade quickly. I sent the helmet to Arai and they sent me a new one, even changed the size from med to large for me at no cost.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I'm picky and want wafer thin gloves with awesome protection and warmth, so my standards are pretty high. These gloves are capable additions to my 4 season, waterproof glove collection. Dainese's Italian styling and construction are sure to please. The glove fits well and movement is average when new, but once they're broken in fully i expect the same comfortable fit i enjoy with my Dainese Cold Carbon gloves. I'll use these for off-road adventure riding, and while i don't expect these gloves to hold up moving rocks and branches (nor would i with the exceptionaly smooth and soft palm leather), i do expect them to be waterproof and stand up to a little mud, and a whole lot of northwest cold!
No comment on protection and durability, worn for less than 10 hours so far.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Fox Racing Pawtector Glove The best glove in motocross just got even better via an all new double-layer palm, more pliable main body material, airprene knuckle construction, silicone gripper fingertips and a secure hook-and-loop closure for that classic Pawtector performance.

For a mid range boot, it's hard to beat the TCX S-Zero boot. I have a pretty 'normal' size 10 foot, and this boot is just slightly large for me. For $250, the boot has nice protection and features, such as the replaceable toe sliders.
Most importantly, this boot feels great on the foot. Shifting is almost as easy as wearing a tennis shoe. The leather is very pliable and feels more like an UGG than a racing boot. The sole is hard but bendable.
Not had them for that long so I cant report on durability. The softer leather will scuff and the shiny plastics will show scratches quite easily, but that's the price of lookin' good and being comfortable, i suppose.
Recommended for the weekend track or spirited street rider.

Puma 1000 v3 Vented Boots The 1000v3 boot was developed with the help of Grand Prix riders and is a pro-level boot suited for any kind of road-racing activity due to its improved safety components. Features Intelligent Safety The Ghost Doctor protection device has been designed after the medically defined angles of no return, beyond which you would suffer from serious ankle injury. It limits the movement range in all four directions and becomes active when the ankle reaches a dangerous angle, making it an intelligent protection device thats there only when you need it most Increased Protection The Exo Low has a 360 degree cockpit construction that wraps under the heel, maximizing stability and increasing lateral impact protection Improved Cushioning A small cushioning structure is built into the lower portion of the Exo Low to provide vertical impact protection in the event of a high-speed crash The third generation 1000v3 benefits from ongoing evolutional change. The 1000v3 features flexible nylon toe sliders, a Bifit footbed with cut outs to improve flexibility in the forefoot, more flexible lining for easy step in/out, and modifications to the exo-low and calf protector to make the boot more able to withstand the rigors of competition

Is this an ideal boot for street riding? I currently wear a women's Alpine Star boot without protective molding and I'm concerned about comfort.

They are very comfortable. They're a mid level racing boot (mfg proclaimed), and i ride them on the street when my wrist feels heavy.

Dont think twice if your only concern is comfort, these things bend and mold to your foot really well. Plus, there's not a TON of plastic on them but what is there is well made and in the right spot. For the most part, they just feel like soft leather boots, you dont notice the hardware on them.
