I bought these boots just before going on a 3400 mile ride. There was no time for breaking them in, but as it turned out they didn't need to be broken in.
We were rained on and my feet stayed dry. We were in 100 F weather for several of the days and my feet were comfortable.
I wear a size 11.5 in a tennis shoe and bought a size 11. They fit perfect.
Although I ride a Harley Ultra Classic with full riding gear, these boots will fit under blue jeans.
Yes, I recommend this product.

How high do these boots rise in front and back?

I currently wear a military type boot @ 9 inches high, I Prefer a higher cut to low cut boots.
I have a size 11 and mine are 11-1/2 inches in the back and 12-1/2 inches in the front.
