I really like the harness system. I was skeptical, but it really works as advertised. However, it does seem a bit over the top when you're just carrying a few things to and from the bike. What I really don't like are the straps and buckles on the side - annoying and seemingly pointless; I'm tempted to cut them off.

Bang for the buck? No bargain, but reasonable price for the quality you get. Style? Handsome, but nothing extraordinary.
I got these because they came in numbered sizes, and sure enough, they fit. Odd thing is how some letter-sized gloves are often too short, but with these, while only size 9, the fingers are the right length and the wrist strap is where it should be, not up on the heel of my palm like some other brands are, even in XL. I've been getting by with racing gloves that fit great in warm weather, but they don't fit as well (they're a little loose) in the cold.
Protection and durability? No armor, as you see, but they seem to be well made of quality materials; time will tell how durable they are. Airflow and features? N/A.

The gift certificate was a good way to spend teamzilla cash. I'd accumulated a few dollars and ended up being able to give a more generous gift than I originally planned. And it couldn't have been easier - same day service, since I placed the order in the morning on a weekday. I hope someone gives me one sometime!

These seem to have most of the features as a much more expensive pair from Revit that I once had (trashed in a high-side), and they fit a little better, too. That's probably because they aren't over-pants like the others were (zippers from ankle stop below the knee) - though in cold weather, I'll be wearing them as such. Legs are a good length, too; trousers that otherwise fit me are often a bit short, but not these.
I ordered these to replace some beat up mesh trousers, but when they weren't delivered as soon as I needed, I ended up getting another set of mesh trousers at a local shop. It all worked out in the end, since these will be great for cool weather riding, and I really needed something versatile.

While I didn't notice much advantage over a cotton t with the matching top, I definitely found these to be effective and better than some "Comfortech" lightweight longjohns I'd tried under leathers previously. And the price is better than the top, too. Still kinda pricey. They're nice, but not extraordinary.

The quality is fine, but I don't recommend this only because I doubt any of this kind of gear is really worth the price. I've been to two track days, and the weather was identical on both days - warm, sunny, occasional breezes, average humidity (rained hard the night before). The first time I had an ordinary cotton long-sleeve T, the second time I had this. Not sure I was any more comfortable with this, but at least I looked a little more like I knew what I was doing. On the other hand, if coolmax makes a noticeable difference for you, then this is good gear - just got it out of the wash and it looks like it will hold up very well.

The install is a snap - once you've gotten them adjusted properly. I had to get a spare set of these because I lost one. I was distracted once and didn't make sure a couple of them were fastened back on properly, so they came off. But when they're on properly, they're very secure and far better than bungees, and the bags they go with are very good quality.

Is this garment recommended designed for use in warm/hot weather riding?
I live in rural Southcentral Texas and it tends to get unusually warm here during a large portion of the year. I'm looking for something I can put on over clothes for to and from commute to metropolitan area for work. Is this a usuable, functional garment?
It's probably not what you want. It is designed for warm/hot weather riding, but more to be worn under something like track leathers than with regular clothes. However, you might find a short sleeve version of this to be more comfortable than a regular t-shirt, and would keep you drier and somewhat cooler than you'd be if you went without.
