Sidi, continuously researching new technological solutions to enhance rider safety, is proud to present the Way Rain boot. With Sidis great style, feel, support and quality there are no finer performance off road boots in the world. Non-Bootie Designs Sidi boots do not incorporate inner booties into their design, and for good reason. Booties make the design larger and cumbersome add to the boots thickness, which interferes with shifting, plus the inner booties retain body heat affecting the riders performance and comfort. Lining Each boot is lined throughout with lightweight perforated Teflon treated fabric in order to allow moisture to breath out to the Lorica outer and dry quickly with no mold build up in the long term. Additionally the inner ankle area of all Strada series boots are fully lined with Sidis own formula of perforated closed thousand-air cell memory foam. A totally breathable lining system. Composite Insole Sidi is the only manufacture to use a composite insole that is anatomically shaped to the rider. A cushioned liner is provided that can be removed if the rider desires a more roomy fit. Sidi does not use steel shanks riveted to its insole like most manufactures, details such as this enable Sidi boots to enjoy a multi year service life versus the competitors multi month lifespan as over time, a steel shank can deteriorate, rust and fracture exposing the rider to injury. Lorica Boot's outer is fully constructed with Lorica, a composite micro fiber material created from strands less than one thousandth the thickness of silk. When injected with special resins, these fibers act like natural leather skin, but with the addition of better strength, softer texture, lighter weight and better moisture protection. Lorica is also highly resistant to abrasion - yet it still breathes - with more than three million pores per square centimeter. Easy to maintain, Lorica doesnt stain and cant be scratched and offers, reduced weight, more flexibility and more feel than leather racing boots. Features Mega version offers EE width as well as increased room all around the arch area Rain membrane to add a water resistant yet breathable barrier between the elements and the riders feet Lorica Cordura outer construction Perforated Teflon treated nylon lining Composite inner sole Removable arch support Internal heel protection Internal ankle protection Internal toe protection Zipper and Velcro closure system Full length inner gaiter Lorica toe shift pad Double stitched in all high stress areas Reflective heel panel Nylon plate and internally padded shin plate Non-slip Sidi sole

Why is it called a rain boot? Does it only work in the rain?

This may be a dumb question.
