Do street clothes fit under?

There have been a couple comments that there is insufficient room to fit "street pants" under the riding pants. As improbable as that sounds (given their function as all-around-adventure-touring pants), are they designed only for long johns or skivvies to be worn underneath?

Can I put these pants on with my boots on?

Is there enough room/clearance to put on and remove the pants with standard riding boots fitted?
