Alpinestars CR-4 Gore-Tex XCR Boots Brand new for Fall 2011, the Alpinestars CR-4 Gore-Tex XCR Boots offer motorcycle protection with hiking-boot style and comfort. They'll get you through the worst of weather conditions thanks to the Gore-Tex XCR waterproof and breathable membrane. Although it is quite a mouthful, the Alpinestars CR-4 Gore-Tex Boots deliver in performance what they lack in brevity. That is to say, we think the Alpinestars CR4 Boots will be some of the most popular motorcycle boots for Fall 2011. Features Upper constructed from a combination of PU coated leather, suede and textile Breathable mesh lining on the collar and tongue and features waterproof and highly breathable GORE-TEX XCR membrane Foam backed, double density impact protector on the both sides of the ankle Internal toe and heel counter are layered under the leather Hiking boot style lace system with metal eyelets and top hooks Wrap-around rubber outsole reinforced with metal shank in the heel and a TPU shank in the Plantar Arch for enhanced rigidity PU coated leather shift area Reflective inserts on the rear of the boot Shock absorbing EVA midsole Mesh lined, anatomically profiled EVA foam footbed Note Anthracite/Red colorway is more Orange than Red.

Recieved these on a Thurs, wore them to ride/wear to work Fri. Very comfortable to spend the day in. Then Sat & Sun rode for 660 miles and they were great. Weather was between 50 & 85 & my feet were comfy the whole time. Great off the bike when we stopped to do this & that. Didn't encounter any wet weather so I'll find out later about the staying dry part, & thankfully no spills, so I'm going to say that by the way they feel, they'll be good in the event they are needed protection wise. The sole is a good thickness & eliminated alot of the vibration from the foot pegs. I got the grey/yellow. Nice combo of colors. I wear a women's 9/9.5 & originally order an 8, but they were just to roomy so I exchanged them (very painless process) & got a 7.5. They're fine with thin summer socks, and nice w/ a thicker sock for cooler months. My husband quized me on them our whole ride & will probably be ordering some for himself.
Yes, I recommend this product.
