I live in NC and bought this jacket for the humid 100 degree summer weather. This is a great summer jacket it flows a ton of air and it keeps you cool as long as you are moving. These jackets run really tight in the chest and shoulders, so I would suggest ordering a size up. I am 6'4" about 200 lbs and I have a 40" chest. I ordered an XL. I was pleased with the fit after I broke in the jacket, however I like my riding gear really tight.
I was wearing this jacket when I lowsided my bike last week and, it performed quite well. The jacket held together during the crash (although there was a little more tearing in the elbow than I would have liked to see) and the body armor worked great. I managed to escape with just a few scratches and bruises mainly because of this jacket. I will likely be ordering another Tarmac Air to replace my old jacket. You can't beat this jacket for $200.

Icon Contra Jacket From the shadowy realm of street-styled textile jackets, Icon again tapped their mx roots and tripled into the main. Contra is technically perfect - superior in fit and function to all that came before. Ultra durable nylons are strategically patterned into the industries finest no-bind fit. Fighter mesh panels allow intake and exhaust airflow dramatically reducing the chance of overheating. A full complement of Icon's internal CE approved Field Armor provide ample street insurance. Finally, ballistic rubber badging puts the classy in this chassis. Zip one up and become a believer, this is the ultimate in textile perfection. Durable nylon textile chassis Heavyweight ballistic impact panels Removable CE Field Armor impact protector elbow Removable CE Field Armor impact protector shoulder Removable dual-density foam back pad Removable insulated liner Internal zippered pocket for secure storage Relaxed Icon fit Imported

My measurements are all messed up. Thoughts?

My sleeve is a 30 which shows up as a small and my chest is 39 which shows up as a large i believe. What size do you think would fit me best?
My chest is a 39 and, I ordered an XL. The XL was still really tight in the chest and shoulders. I like my riding gear tight and, I was pleased with the fit once I broke in the jacket. I would go with an XL.
