I love these pants... fits great but the waist is a bit on the large side and has no adjustment. Being leather pants, as long as you're wearing your boots, the pants will stay up because of its stiffness... but it's still way too loose on the waist.
Of course this does not become a problem when you zip the pants with a matching jacket. ^_^
Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this jacket as a replacement for a Dainese Race jacket that I bought too small. I wear 44~46 jacket and bought the 54 and it was fine when I tried it on without the back protector but it was a tight fit with the Shield Air G back protector in. Note: Make sure you try on any Dainses jackets with the proper back protector... They do take up quite of bit of room.
So, I sold the Race jacket to my friend and got this in a size 56 as a replacement so we wouldn't have the same jacket. Love the jacket overall and the style is killer. The only thing that's kind of odd is that the "dot" on the "i" (Dainese logo) on one of the arm was missing when I got it. No big deal, but still a bit disappointing... but not so bad that I have to return.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Which face shield comes with RS-1 Helmet, is it the face shield displayed in the picture?

They all come with the standard clear shield. All my helmets, including the Bell Star helmet came with clear shield.

You have to buy the tinted or mirrored kind if you wish. I bought the light gold iridium and looks really good. Light enough to wear at night.

Which size is right? US or Euro?

Every other pair of motorcycle boots I have is a 45 (Sidi, Tourmaster, Icon) 10.5-11 US, but going by the US side of the size chart I'd be a 44 (11) in these. Which side is right?
I would go with the Euro size. I wear size 46 with Sidi, Dainese, and Puma. They all fit the same even though the US size conversion from each company is different. To be specific... Sidi & Dainese fit the same (this will be a useful comparison for you). Puma fit a bit smaller but not tight enough to go a size larger. Worst case scenario... quick exchange with revzilla.

I've learned to trust the "origin" size since I started buying higher end European gear. They seem to be consistent in fit.

 Icon Regulator Vest - Closeout
Icon Regulator Vest - Closeout
Icon has a unique vision to recognize holes in the market where a product should exist, but doesn't yet. It's part of the reason we are here. The Regulator Vest is sure to be one of those profound products that will create its own new dimension. At first glance, it's apparent that this is no mere Fat Brother Bob's Cruiser vest. The Regulator is made of the same premium 1.4mm leather we use on our bulletproof Motorhead Jackets. It also houses the same hard back armor plate used in our Field Armor Vest. This back armor is removable doing so reveals a large back panel--perfect access for attaching a club patch, or whatever you can think up. Also featured are two cross--draw pistol pockets up front. Now you can retrieve your smokes confidently, without resorting to the infamous chicken-wing arm technique. The Regulator Vest is sized to rock over your jacket, or just use the side fit adjustment straps to wear it alone. 1.4mm premium leather chassis Removable hard back armor Large accessible back panel for attaching club patch Cross-draw pistol pockets Side fit adjustment straps Sized to fit over jacket Premium YKK zippers

can a club patch be sewn on the back?

Yes it can... It's leather and is smooth so it shouldn't give you any more problems than other leather vests. The back has an "armadillo" style back protector but this can be removed and is under a layer separate from the vest itself, so this should not hinder with the patch sewing.

I have 44 chest and got the L/XL and it was a bit big... left lots of room to wear heavy clothing underneath. If you plan to wear this as a summer vest, I suggest going with the smaller size than what you usually wear. I went to a tailor and had the side adjustments shortened instead of exchanging to a smaller size... should have exchanged.

Sizing

I currently have a pair of Alpinestars SMX2 - Air Carbons in size XL. They fit relatively well in the palm, but the fingers are quite a bit to long.

What size would be best for the Full Metal Pro's? Large or XL?
I usually wear size "L" with most glove brands but wear "XL" with Dainese gloves.

I have 3 dainese gloves including the metal pro. I don't have any experience with Alpinestar gloves, however. The Dainese gloves fit smaller with shorter finger length. I think an XL should fit you well... Unless you have thicker than average palm, then go 2XL. I do have to warn you that the entry is difficult around the cuff in the beginning. Again, a Dainese trait but once broken-in they are great!

Sizing?

Do this shoes run pretty true to size? I wear a 10.5 but they only come in whole sizes...would I be better off with a 10, or 11?
I wear 10.5~11 and got 11. These shoes are pretty wide/roomy at the toes.

So, if you have narrow feet I would get the 10. But if you have normal or wider feet I would get the 11.

fit and accessories

what protectors come with this jacket?
how does this jacket fit? I am looking for a slimmer fit and measure 37" chest.
is the lining removable?
are there any reflective strips?
thanks!
Comes with shoulder and elbow protectors but does not come with the back protector. I recommend getting the Shield Air G back protector because it vents nicely.

I suggest getting one size up from the sizing chart if you're in between sizes and plan to install a back protector in the back protector pocket. The back protector is a bit bulky.

There are no liner with this jacket so it's a 3 season jacket with light windbreaker type jacket underneath in cooler weather riding.

Reflective strips on the arms and back.

Breathability

How good is the air flow through this jacket? During May-Sept Most afternoons here are 90+ degrees with high humidity. How well does this jacket breathe? I noticed there is little/no perforation on the back, where as the rebel has quite a lot. I'm torn between the two, as the rebel looks like it is more breathable, but also looks more like a track jacket, and not a street jacket.
It definitely breathes well... I rode with this jacket on a 80* weather and felt very comfortable with a long high tech thermal undershirt underneath. I ride my bike to work in the mornings in the low 60* and it can get a bit chilly. The good thing is that I can feel the air throughout my torso instead of just in the perforated area, like in other jackets. It must have something to do with the liner material (bubble type) that makes it distribute the air evenly. It will work great as long as you're moving.
