Forcefield Back Protector Pro Sub 4 The Forcefield Back Protector Pro Sub 4 is the worlds first Motorcycle back protector to transmit less than 4kn when subjected to the standard CE test. The Pro Sub 4 has been specifically designed to test at under 4kn when subjected to the standard CE test EN1621-2. Independent testing by SATRA shows a mean test result of 3.38kn transmitted energy, making it the first motorcycle back protector in the world to attain this level of performance. Constructed with a removable and washable outer cover to give the rider the ability to keep the back protector clean and hygenic, it also makes the protector more flexible as it is not bonded at the edges, this in turn makes it more comfortable to wear, a prime consideration in the design process of any Forcefield product. As with all Forcefield Body Armour the Pro Sub 4 has RPT (Repeat Performance Technology) ensuring continued and consistent protection even after multiple impacts. Features The World's first Motorcycle back protector to transmit less than 4kn when subjected to the CE test EN1621-2 (Level 2) Removable and washable outer cover CE Level 2 Rated Protection RPT (Repeat Performance Technology) Comfortable and non restrictive Flexible Breathable Moulds to body shape Adjustable waist and shoulder straps Multi Sport use Read more about this product in this WebBikeWorld.com Review

Comfortable, and fits well under my jacket. Not as hot as I feared it would be. Straps are surprisingly comfortable, given their job of keeping the protector tight to your body.
Happy about the purchase, and would recommend. I also bought the Forcefield chest protector, and they work well together.
Cons: expensive... but I guess one is paying for safety here, and this is the only "sub 4" back protector on the market.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This pack is well designed with the layout, pockets and various features, and clearly, a lot of thought was put into its construction. Very high quality. As another reviewer said, the cellphone holder is laughably small. I have no idea why they bothered with something that cannot fit a smartphone (in this day and age), but anyway, it can easily be removed.
That minor issue aside, I am very happy with this purchase. This pack is boss. Another hit from Alpinestars.

From a safety standpoint can these be worn without a longsleeved jacket (as pictured)?

I wanted to know if this was only meant to be worn under other gear.

Plenty of external storage options make the Charger a versatile and robust performer. Streamlined convenience backpack Specifically designed for short hops and commuting on a bike. Compact design with high specification materials and all the essential features like Helmet storage net, MP3/Phone pocket

Does this have sternum strap or some strap across the chest to keep from blowing off shoulders?

It does have a sternum strap. It can be removed. I found the ergonomics of the bag to be good enough to where I didn't even need that strap. But if you want it, it is there.
