I am a firm believer that you "get what you pay for." Such is the case with Dianese products. The styling, fit and finish are top notch in there products and the quality materials suggest they will last a long time. I live in Portland, OR. It rains A LOT up here! For winter riding, waterproof gloves are a must and after a couple rides with these gloves in the rain my hands stayed completely dry. They also stayed mostly warm. I did feel a chill at the tips of a couple fingers. Obviously winter gloves are more bulky than race gloves and this provides less feel of the controls on one's bike. I tried a couple other brands on at a local shop and could tell they wouldn't hold up well after a couple years riding in bad weather.
FYI, the temperature was about 38 to 42 degrees and raining when I first rode with the gloves. I also had heated grips installed on my bike so the first time I used the gloves was also the first time I used the grips. Honestly not only could I not feel any cold wind penetrating the gloves, I also could not feel the heat from the grips and they were set on high temp. It was only a 15 mile ride home from the dealer. I got new tires installed as well and have been waiting for the rain to subside to break those in before I can test the gloves on a long ride.

3rd time trying them on was for 850 mile trip through Oregon. 600 highway miles and 250 backroads and twisties. They did fine and were pretty comfortable. First pair of motorcycle boots so nothing to compare to. They do seem to have good quality and they look sharp. Walking around wasn't bad either even on dirty paths to camp sites, but I was definitely happy to take them off after the long ride. No complaints. I'm definitely pleased with the fit. I have skinny calves and was able to make them snug.

What is the best cold weather glove sold?
I ride in west Texas throught the winter months and need a glove with excellent protection from the cold. Not wet conditions most of the time.
I ride in Portland, OR where it's cold and wet riding so water proof is a must. Even if it doesn't rain much where you currently reside, I suggest ponying up the cash for a waterproof glove any way because it's better to be prepared for the unexpected. I recently purchased the Dianese Jericho gloves and am so far very satisfied. Dianese products are more expensive but they last and the fit and finish are outstanding in my experience.
