Looked long and hard and did a lot of on-line research - also have a mesh for really warm days and a more waterproof tour for work commit once weather get ugly. This is now my goto jacket - the built quality and attention to detail; is in a class of its own. I have tried on a friend's Racer version, but leaning to Alien - no vents and cleaner style, new 3d liner. This jacket also moves a lot of air, yea its warm at a stop, but once on the bike its really quite comfortable, have worn it from 65-89 degree temps - its really well designed (I would call this "Stealth Perf" - you don't even see it) - but its there and works! i purchased this jacket at their store in Philly - took the time to let me try on several styles and sizes and fully explained the full feature sets - the experience was great! Glad I did, because the back protector I was leaning toward didn't really work for me, (guess my body style) but the other design worked great - really happy I was able to compare the two and buy the right one. Thanks Revzilla! All Black was not my first choice, but now if has really grown on me and now love it, everyone who see it likes it.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Sizing?

i am a size 54 in the Dainese Racing Jacket, but i want the Dainese Alien Jacket, what size would you recommend for me to get for the Alien?

and is there a major size difference between them?

Thank you Revzilla
I am 5'9 about 173 pounds - I have the alien and my friend has the racing in 52 - I went with 52 which worked for both jackets. I could fit into a 50 for that skin tight fit -which I was not looking for. The 52 fit is snug and comfortable with back protector in. The alien fit/cut is a little more relaxed then the racing - 3d liner is very nice, IMHO.

Hey, I'm 5'6'' about 160 and I'm not quite sure what size I should get?

Hi - I have this jacket 5'9 175 pounds and wear a 52, I could have got into a 50 if I wanted a super tight racing profile - but the 52 worked for me and fits snug and arms are perfect length for me - have wave back plate in also, like that over other, which cut into my shoulder blades while in riding position. Hope this is of help - was a 52 in racer jacket also, friend has that one - that jacket is cut tighter then the alien - uses vent also - which the Alien perf doesn't need.

Breathability

How good is the air flow through this jacket? During May-Sept Most afternoons here are 90+ degrees with high humidity. How well does this jacket breathe? I noticed there is little/no perforation on the back, where as the rebel has quite a lot. I'm torn between the two, as the rebel looks like it is more breathable, but also looks more like a track jacket, and not a street jacket.
I have the perf version - it breathes really well for the protection it provides - it is perfed on sides and S3 black fabric moves a lot a air - it is on the back of shoulder blades acting as hidden vents. Yes you will get hot at a stop light with 90 plus degrees but once going it really cools down. It work almost as good as my mesh jacket, but offers way more protection. This is really well made jacket.
