I have about 500 miles on this helmet and I am very happy with it. I usually wear a large but bought a medium after reading several reviews. The medium fits me great. It is reasonably quite. I ride a KLR 650, which is a windy bike and this visor does not catch the wind at all, unlike all of my other helmets. The only negative thing I have to say about the helmet is that there is a small piece of rubber molding that is a little close to your nose. It is also only held in with pressure from the inner and outer molding and sometimes falls out when I pull the helmet off. I small dab of glue fixed the problem. I would buy another one of these helmets.

What are the Pros and cons of a matte black finish on the AFX FX-39? Is it true matte black is harder to keep clean and blemishes easier?

The matte black is really sharp looking and it will go with just about any gear or bike. I think it also is a little bit cooler then the gloss finish.
