These shoes are great. I haven't gotten the chance to wear them much yet, but I believe they're going to work for the reason I got them. I needed shoes that offered good protection but was comfortable enough for me to wear while I take my college classes and what not. For motorcycle shoes, these certainly do the job.
Protection: These shoes are the best on the block for non full length motorcycle boots. The area around the toes are steel, so I feel if my toes were ever to get ran over I wouldnt have to worry about them breaking at all. The hard plastic sides of the shoe make me feel as if the shoe will hold up great against the asphalt. They do go around my ankles, and here is where the reason for the 4 out of 5 stars comes in. I love how it goes above the ankles, but I dont feel as if its tight enough to support my ankles. I wish they would've also included a strap that connects at the ankles that I can tighten like how you see on other shoes just for added support. I'm not sure how well these will stay on because of that. But I do feel like if they do stay on, they'll offer me great support without having to sacrifice too much comfort.
Features: The toe sliders are nice. I really like how the side on the shoes have rubber grips so you can grip on to the side of the bike better. I do like the speed lace system, but once again I cant help but to wonder how well these shoes will stay on my feet because I cant tighten them like I can with real laces. But, they do tighten pretty well. And I do like how the laces are hidden so they wont get caught.
Style: Wow! I love the look. They're great and Im sure when I start wearing them more, many people will look at them and be like "Nice shoes!" I got the black and white, they look better then all black in my opinion.
Size Advice: Go to a local motorcycle store, I went to Cyclegear, and try the shoes on. I would've gotten the wrong size if I didn't go and try them on.
Over all? Great boot over all. I love them and cant wait to use them when I start riding a lot!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Scorpion EXO-500 Oil Helmet The Scorpion EXO-500 immediately catches the eye with its innovative design, enhanced by a superb sharp ridge on the underside of the shell. Inspired by its older brother, the Scorpion EXO-1000 , the EXO 500 Helmet is based on the GT philosophy and is fitted as standard with the last generation visor of its elder. And as if that were not enough, it integrates the SpeedView built-in retractable sunvisor treated with anti-fog coating on both sides. Two accessories usually reserved for high-end helmets! Comprising 3 caps and a lighter and more durable shell than its predecessor, fitted with a very soft and comfortable inner lining thanks to the new KwikWick2 liner and triple density foam cheek pads, the Scorpion EXO 500 Helmets will drastically change your expectations from a full face helmet of the standard range. Equipped with the revolutionary Airfit technology and a state-of-the-art ventilation system, chances are the new Scorpion will steal the show from the much more expensive helmets among those daily users who want to buy the best helmet for the best price. Features Kwikwick2 Liner - moisture wicking, hypoallergenic, removable, machine washable, soft SpeedView Retractable sunvisor - treated with antifog on both sides Airfit technology - Inflate and deflate the cheek pads to make it fit perfectly- this provides a better fit thus better safety and shock absorption. Just received my helmet in the mail the other day, it's great. I normally wear a Large, so I ordered a Large. When I first put it on in all honest it was a bit tight, but after wearing it on and off for an hour or so it got better, so Im sure after a little more wearing it'll fit perfect. The graphics in red and white are awesome. I love the liner. The chin skirt thing is a plus, usually you have to buy it. I also like how it comes with a message embossed on it saying "Emergency personnel: before removing helmet deflate cheek pads here" and it has a little target exactly where they should push, only showing you that scorpion cares about your safety all the way through. Havnt really got to go out and ride in it yet. But I had someone blow in my face as a joke and I actually felt the air, so the venting system is great. Does come with all the features as the EXO-1000 and then some, such as the cracking option for the visor, although it could be a little better. You have to help the side opposite of the lever to be up a little.
There was a recall on the visors. About 40% of the helmets had faulty visors, you would know if yours is one because the vision would be really out of whack. I emailed scorpion and they replied in an hour telling me who to call. I called to find out what the recall was for, I dont have a faulty visor but they offered to switch mine out anyways incase it's even a little out of whack, which I really appreciate. They have great customer service.
Yes, I recommend this product.

How to these compare to Sidi's Doha boots.

I currently have some Doha' boots, I was wondering how these a) fit and sizing, b) comfort when walking.

I am torn between these, and Sidi Speeds, I Have Delmar Pro's and Full Metal Pro's from Dainese now, so I would prefer these :)
When I tried these on at a local cyclegear, I thought these sucked comfort wise but offered great protection for lower cut boots. I ordered them and they arrived a week later. I tried the new ones on and they actually were alot more comfortable. My advice is, go try them on at a store if you can. Find the size you like, then order it online. If thats not an option, order it and see how comfortable you feel with them. Revzilla has great return policies so if you dont like it, return it.

Ride safe!

What shape is this helmet?

Hey folks! I was just wondering if you could tell what shape this helmet is. I believe my head is in the round oval range and was hoping the AFX FX-95 would fit me without having too much excess room, like a fish-bowl shaped helmet would.

Thanks in advance!
This helmet would be great for you! It's basically a fish-bowl shaped helmet. Kind of an oval-round helmet. When in doubt, find a store to try it on. Then go and order online. x-)
