I wanted a dual sport helmet because of the bill or visor and the more open face port. The video review on revzilla sold me on the Arai xd4. I just returned from a four day trip and I am very satisfied with the xd4.. The venting was very good, temps were in the high 80's. Rode tru alot of rain and with the shield just cracked open there was no fogging. Only about 10 percent of the ride on interstate so no issue with wind resistance. I have had the helmet over 100 and it was fine. Typical interstate speeds of 60 to 85 for a couple of hours fine too. I was smack in between a med and large so went with med. I removed a layer of cheek foam and then pinched off more foam where it was uncomfortable against the bottom of my ear. Perfect fit now and very comfortable. I ride a Multistrada so I'm in an upright position.

The jacket flows air well and provides good protection. The wind proof water proof liner does a great job on cool mornings. Wore in hard rain once and it kept me dry. Jacket retained alot of water though and took a day to dry. Havnt tried the thermal lining yet. Jacket is a great value, only complaint is sleeves are too long, not a big issue.

Put these on a 2011 ninja 1000. Not available thru revzilla, had to buy thru dealer. Or at least the mounts were not available from revzilla. Cases from Kawasaki were logoed Kawasaki which looks good on bike. I bought the liner bags thru revzilla. These cases are awesome but a lot of money. Mounting system, locking system all excellent. The directions were difficult in the part that addressed relocating the turn signals and the extension harness was not long enough to install as shown. Once past that part the framework install was easy and fit perfect. Just returned from a four day trip and love the cases, wish they were cheaper.

Capacity a little smaller than I thought but still like it. Magnets are very strong, no straps needed.

Easy to put on. Longest ride with this product was 1 1/2 hours. No discomfort, forgot about them after 15 minutes. I feel the protection is good.

Is one heat shield included, i.e. if I have dual exhaust do I need to purchase an additional shield??
I got no heat shields and was concerned but they are not needed on my bike. 2011 ninja 1000
