Chukchi's Reviews

Puig Touring Windscreen Yamaha FZ 1 For long distance rides, PUIG introduces the Touring series to minimize wind-blast. These screens raise the wind-blast several centimeters allowing a more comfortable position. Most screens feature a shaded part on the lower section of the screen if cover cables behind the speedometer. Dimensions 48cm H x 42cm W. 10cm taller than OEM windscreen.

At 6"3" with a very long torso the stock FZ1 screen provided almost no wind protection. I liked the look of the PUIG better than the Zero Gravity Sport Touring Screen, especially since you cant get the ZG in dark smoke anymore (as far as I can tell). The dark smoke PUIG looks great, fits perfect, and is a huge improvement over stock. My head and part of my shoulders are still in clean air, but the windblast on my chest is much reduced. I don't notice any new buffeting. My line of vision is a good foot above the screen so I can't really say much about optics. It isn't as cheap as some others, and the construction doesn't seem overly bomber, but it seems adequate. Overall, I am very happy and would recommend this screen.
