I wanted a jacket that offered great armor, airflow, and rain protection. I found it! It fits well (I went with the XL, even @ 5'10", 185#) and is super-comfortable for all-day rides. It does everything extremely well, but I have 3 complaints. 1.) the rain/thermo liner is difficult to install in adverse conditions (think sudden cloudburst that sneaks up behind you) 2.) the waterproof pockets are completely inaccessible with the front armor plate in place (though they ARE dry) 3.) the zippers on the 2 front pockets are a bit fiddly with gloves on. A larger pull would be nice. I love this jacket! It breathes extremely well, yet offers complete weather protection once the liner is installed. I am thoroughly impressed by the build quality and thought put into this gear.

While I've only had these pants for a couple of weeks, I have logged almost 2,000 miles in them. They fit well and look fine. I really liked the choice of a color other than black. The basic shell is great in all aspects, however, I would like to see better knee armor. It isn't bad, just not what I'm used to (coming from a Dainese racing leathers). The two liners are a really great feature. I ended up leaving the rain liner in permanently, since it still breathers rather well at speed. I rode through 5 hours of torrential rains last weekend and these pants (with liner installed) didn't let a single drop in. I was very, very impressed. I highly recommend the Sand pants for their versatility and features.

Can these pants be put on and taken off over your street clothes and riding boots?
If you want to wear street clothes under them, I'd recommend going up one size. You still will not be able to slide into them wearing any kind of footwear, since the knees/armor are a bit snug.
