 Dainese Asphalt Shoes
Dainese Asphalt Shoes
Dainese Asphalt Shoes The engine responds instantly to each twist of the accelerator, cross streets and intersections follow rapidly moving through the city streets is always a pleasure on a motorcycle. The Asphalt boot was developed for sports riders who cannot do without technical features just because the weather has gotten hotter. A PU counter, a nylon heel, and elasticated inserts for a better grip on the bike are only a few of the technical solutions in Asphalt boots inspired by professional racing boots. A double jersey mesh liner, a shifter guard, and reflecting inserts complete the technical features offered by this assertive shoe made in Lorica. This has been my go to summer jacket for the passed two seasons, it's well made, offers Daineses's famous protection, and the breathability is unparalleled. Slightly tight on the neck, more so than any other of my other Dainese Jackets.
Sizing:
True to all Dainese Jackets I'm 5'10", 165 lbs., 40” chest 30” waist athletic build and I have been a size 50 in all Dainese jackets I have purchased. Tight on the neck.

This bag has a very well made feel to it, the helmet storage compartment is well thought out and the laptop compartment is more than adequate for my MacBook pro. The back and inside of the straps are done in Dainese’s 3-D Bubble Liner, the inside pen and other storage pockets are lined in a high-viz yellow to allow for easy identification and the straps all have retaining loops too keep them from flapping around in the breeze. Overall it’s a very well made bag that is just right for commuting and maybe a light day on campus. When I was attending university I had the Icon Squad bag, which I felt was way too large, the helmet storage was annoying and the quality was nowhere near as good as this.

"fits like a glove!" Very comfortable, almost no break in time, great quality like all Dainese gear! I can't help but be impressed by Dainese, top notch quality, protection and style in all of their products, and this is no different. With that said, you can easily fine less expensive gloves that fit the bill, absolutely. However, I feel that Dainese puts that extra bit into each product that they make, which makes them stand out. It also makes them cost more than "comparable alternatives" . To me the price difference is worth it, just buy them.

I just replaced a pair of Icon Timax shorties with these gloves (which were probably long overdue for replacement). They look great, offer way more protection than any other short cut glove I have owned, and are more expensive than any other short glove i have owned. At first they were a bit odd because of all the hard parts on them, and they developed a few hot spots when being used. Namely the knuckles and the palm slider. However, after a few weeks riding with them they have begun to break in quite nicely and are quickly on the way to being my new favorite pair of gloves. Well done Dainese, well done.

When this first came in, I was blown away by the quality, solid and well stitched, weighty but not overly so. The leather is amazing and the perforation is more than generous, it’s downright chilly under 60°F. The Neck 5 system that came with it seemed pretty interesting, and was one of the deciding factors for purchasing this jacket over a couple of the other Dainese higher-end leathers. However, on my first ride home it was a miserable little device. It was uncomfortable and I wanted nothing more to get rid of it! I was so happy that it is removable. With that said, I gave it another chance the following day and began to come around, its been a few days of varied riding on two different machines and now… I kind of like it. It’s a bit odd a first but once you get used to it being there it feels quite nice. Either way it’s completely and easily removable if you so choose. Overall, the styling and attention to detail are typical Dainese, and the liner is ridiculously comfortable. If your accustomed to Dainese gear you will not be disappointed. If you’ve never been acquainted with the brand, you’ll not be dissatisfied the level of quality and protection over other brands (cough... icon... cough) it is worlds away. The price is hard to swallow, but honestly it is worth every penny and then some.

Too be fair these are a great idea, you can turn any glove into a heated glove. At first they were fine but after a few miles of riding, i started to notice the heating element is horribly placed right over the knuckle of both pointer fingers making it almost painful to grip the bars. Additionally and expectedly they add a fair amount of bulk, which I think is exacerbated by the placement of the heating element. Other than that they work as well as can be expected from a glove that digs an uncomfortable hunk of heated metal into you phalanges.

This suit folds right into it's own storage pouch located in the upper back area. I'm 5' 10" 165 lbs with a 31" waist and 40" chest. I ordered a large so it would be able to fit it over my jacket when could unespectedly and it works great, i just have to wear the jacket now, otherwise it's like wearing a parachute. My only complaint is with the colors available. I commute everyday on an enduro and when it's raining and visibility is low; grey and dark grey are baisically rain camo. However, most of the rain gear out there is black or grey anyway. I just wish it had a bit more reflective material on it.

Very easy to install, I have a small enduro and didn't even use the coiled extension cord, so if your bike has an installation point within two feet of the battery you mind as well just order the $15 port instead. I do suppose the extension could be useful though.
