I took these out on a test ride last week just going 10 blocks in the summer heat. My upper body got hot in my mesh jacket, but my bottom was fine in the jeans. Completely not what I expected.
The jeans are very trendy, Euro-style and the stitching adds some extra coolness. Has some knee protection which you might want to replace with something more. The fit is fine, but I wish they made the same pants for women, because I would've bought that instead. The back of men's pants are too tall for women. But this was the only casual riding pants with some protection I could buy.
Obviously, they haven't been down, so I can't talk about protection. I got them so I can show up at meetings and I won't scream "biker". And they will do that job just fine.

The tank bag was easy to install with the secure straps. I tied the ends under the bag, so they won't hang out. Easy to remove and re-attach. Enough to hold basic items from wallet to first-aid kit to a couple of rags and wipes. Easy to open with gloves on with the two zippers.
The material seems very durable, although I have only been using it a short while.
I bought the orange one. It's a cool addition to my bike, adds a little color and visibility.
I love that it's waterproof so I won't have to stop if it starts raining and cover it. It also came with a tube of waterproofing material for the zippers, in case of really tough weather.

Are these jeans fully lined with kevlar?
No, the Kevlar is woven into the jeans. So they become one.
