I am 5'8", 165lbs, athletic build with a 31inseam, 42" chest and 32" waist. I bought a 50 based on the fact I was in between the video review test subject's size and Anthony's. The first thing you notice when pulling this suit out of the box is how feature laden it is. As with all Rev'it gear, the devil is in the details and this suit is extremely well made.
Size wise, this suit fits me better than my Alpinestars 52 in most areas. It has an aggressive preshape as noted in review and with full length back protector fits me very well. I could not fit into a 48 i believe with my shoulder/chest size. The shin guards fit into my boots easier than my Alpinestars making it less of a chore to put them on, nice. I can't speak for airflow, i haven't used it yet, will this week, but comfort from removeable liner is excellent.
If i had to nitpick, i'd say the alpinestars or dainese suits with full U shaped stretch panels along side of torso and down around waist are probably a little less baggy in riding position but not much, this suit has a partial U panel, so i notice a little more room in lower torso, but that just means it will continue to fit as i age.
The molded shoulder guards, while trick, are pretty pronounced, as they are in your peripheral vision constantly, but i'm sure i'll appreciate them when I go down. Randy DePuniet is still around right?
For me it was between this suit and the Dainese Red Line and Alpinestars Tech R1 for approx. the same $$. I feel this suit looks better than both in Black and White and has more features. The rep at Revzilla was very helpful and recommended the Alpinestars for stockier athletic builds but I couldn't resist and am happy with my decision.

I bought this after years with a pair of Sidi Vertigo's...of course. I think this boot is very comfortable, looks good, but tends to fit large for the size you need and squeaks like crazy when walking. Also, feel on the bike is not what the SIdi's were because of the inner bootie which further insulates your foot and deadens feel imo. The quicklace system is a nice feature but not necessary for me, more of use in a motocross or adventure boot. The Sidi's have better fit for a narrow to medium fit and better pedal feel because there is no inner bootie acting as padding. Almost like the inner bootie on a snowboard boot. This makes the boot hot as well. Also, the Fit/Finish of the Sidi's is getter, ie. less glossy plastic molded pieces or fake metal treatments that wear off instantly.
That said, I always struggled getting my leathers to fit inside my Vertigos' but the Alpinestars due to their larger volume accomodate shin guards in suits more easily. Also, i like the ratcheting ankle adjuster as its more durable and less finicky than the Sidi twist buckles which look like they were designed for bicycle shoes and are succeptible to breaking (done it) and are hard to adjust with gloves on. I think the ideal boot would combine the forefoot volume and close feel/fit of the SIdis with the ankle protection/adjustability of the Alpinestars. I'd still recommend them, especially at the closeout price but i think shopping around and trying on a few different brands is a must.

The Vertigo was created after an arduous 2+ year development period with lofty goals in mind. The boot had to push the technology of the sport road boot segment to an even higher level than the legendary Vertebra series. They are designed to be the best, no matter the cost. The Vertigo series of boots has achieved all that and much more! Shock Absorbing Heel Cup Three stage, shock absorbing heel cup molded in three different densities of plastic is one element that sets the Vertigo series apart from all other sport boots. This system offers a built in shock absorbing range of 3mm. The heel cups internal area is also fully lined with impact resistant thousand-air cell memory foam for and extra level of comfort and protection. Lining Each Vertigo series boot is lined throughout with lightweight perforated Teflon treated fabric in order to allow moisture to breath out to the Lorica outer and dry quickly with no mold build up in the long term. Additionally the inner ankle area of all Vertigo series boots are flly lined with Sidis own formula of perforated closed thousand-air cell memory foam. A totally breathable lining system. Tecno VR System The Vertigo series of boots are the only race boots to offer a patented Tecno VR adjustable calf system designed to accommodate calves of virtually any size in a clean, supportive and protective design. With a simple adjustment of the Tecno knob the internal onofilament line will evenly close and wrap the boot around the riders calf in micro adjustments for a perfect fit. A maximum adjustment of 5cm is provided. Replaceable Scuff Pad Option of either a ceramic or nylon toe scuff. Air Vent System Both the Vertigo Corsa and Vertigo employ an air ventilation system that can be opened or closed with a touch of a button depending upon a riders needs. This Malleolus guard on the outer edge of each boot also protects the small and vulnerable foot bones. Composite Inner Sole The composite inner sole of Sidi boots resists side to side compression offering greater protection compared to the leather inner soles that our competitors use. The insole features a removable arch support and will never lose its dynamic characteristics, even after months of intense use it is water resistant and is designed to withstand high footpeg pressures. Replaceable Parts Every bolt on component of each Vertigo boot is available separately. Riders can change the various components to replace items that have worn or have been damaged in a crash. Lorica reg Boots outer is fully constructed with Lorica a composite micro fiber material created from strands less than one thousandth the thickness of silk. When injected with special resins, these fibers act like natural leather skin, but with the addition of better strength, softer texture, lighter weight and better moisture protection. Lorica is also highly resistant to abrasion yet it still breathes with more than three million pores per square centimeter. Easy to maintain, Lorica doesnt stain and cant be scratched and offers, reduced weight, more flexibility and more feel than leather racing boots. Please Note The Vertigo boots no longer offer a replaceable shin plate.

i got some dainese leathers and my oxtar boots barely fit over leg armour-alpinestar?,dainese? or sidi?
Alpinestars should fit, thats what i have and SIdi's were a struggle to get over the shin guard..had to ride the bottom of the leathers up a bit to fit and even then the zipper felt like it was going to go!
