Arai Pro Shade System for SAI-Compatible Helmets Nowadays it is quite common to use a retractable sun-visor that is situated between the helmets outer- and inner shell to protect against sun glare. However, it is Arais opinion that this construction could affect the performance of a helmet during impact. As the Pro Shade System is completely mounted on the outside of the helmet, it will not in any way negatively affect the performance of the helmet. The Pro Shade System is a small peak that is locked in position. Unlocking is easy just pull the Pro Shade System forward, then it can be flipped down with a flick of the hand to act as an effective sun-visor. The Pro Shade System is the complete all-weather system for serious touring riders, offering protection against sun glare, fogging and misting, especially for riders that prefer an upright seating position and/or the comfort of a fairing, the Pro Shade System will enhance the riders comfort significantly. Features Fits all Arai SAI full-face helmets including the Arai Corsair V, Vector 2, RX-Q, Arai Signet-Q and Defiant Complete system, pre-mounted on clear Arai MAX Vision visor (included) Compatible with Arai SAI Max Vision Pinlock Inserts With Brow Vents (sold separately) Enhanced aerodynamics Increased helmet stability Removable for easy cleaning No contact with visor no scratching

I bought mine for my Defiant helmet as a previously opened customer return at a discount price. I must say, I'm glad I didn't pay full price for it.
Firstly, I want to say that you're probably going to buy this anyway if you own an Arai helmet and don't want to deal with the hassle of having to swap between tinted and clear shields whenever it gets dark out. You really don't have a choice.
PROS
-This addresses an issue I had with the stock shield to where the brow vents weren't really functional when sitting upright. By switching to sliders, I notice a greater deal of cooling through them.
-No added wind noise or wind resistance when moving at speed whether the peak is open OR closed as long as your head is pointed forward.
-Peak stays in place when moving at speed.
-Dark tint
CONS
-Loud whistling when doing head checks with peak open
-Extremely cheap feeling build quality on the sliders. I've owned children's toys that were better built.
-Very expensive for what you get.
I'm glad I got this at a discount price. I don't believe the build quality justifies the price. Arai needs to beef up the moving parts if they want to justify the asking price.
Yes, I recommend this product.
