SAS-TEC Back Protector Cutting edge SAS-TEC material is intelligent armor constructed from visco elastic soft foam smart molecules. It has earned the highest CE rating available (CE level 2), during an impact, the armor freezes and hardens, absorbing the shock and distributing its force over a large area to reduce the risk of fractures. The protector is not destroyed by impact, but reverts back to its original state and maintains its capability to protect from multiple impacts. SAS-TEC Armor has a soft and pliable exterior (as opposed to rigid KNOX armor) which offers a great deal of comfort and mobility. This protector is anatomically designed and fitted to provide superior spine and back protection as well as the base of the neck /between the shoulder blades. SC-1/11 fits Women's Turbine Jacket SC-1/12 fits REV'IT! Cayenne Pro Jacket and Turbine Jacket REV'IT Gore-Tex Jackets have different shaped back protector pockets depending on the size of jacket, see the size chart for fitment information SC-1/16 should only be used for XYL or larger Gore-Tex Jackets SC-1/11 Measurements (approximate) Height 15 3/4 Width (at widest point) 13 Thickness 3/4 SC-1/12 Measurements (approximate) Height 19 Width (at widest point) 13 Thickness 3/4 SC-1/16 Measurements (approximate) Height 21 3/8 Width (at widest point) 13 3/8 Thickness 3/4

This is definitely an upgrade you need for back protection. There is no stiffness because it truly forms to your body. I have so many friends complain that they would rather use just the foam that comes with most jackets because their only option was to upgrade to something really uncomfortable. This also has some pretty decent airflow except for when I'm wearing the liner to my jacket but that is the whole point of the liner. and it was very easy to cut the protector to the size of the pocket. i just used the foam it came with as a template. i definitely suggest using the foam as a template to make sure you don't get cut happy. if you are the fence about which back protector to get i'm telling you go with the sas-tec.
Yes, I recommend this product.

this jacket has a decent amount of airflow with a really good liner. i will probably be able to get this jacket to go through fall because of the liner. i live in the northeast so being able to get the jacket to go through the fall is big. i think what really will make that possible is the cuff of the liner. it truly cuts out the airflow keeping you a little warmer. the fit is tight. so i would suggest that if you like to wear your jacket kinda loose i'd go one size up then you'd normally get. i got a medium when i normally wear a small. it fits great except the sleeves are little bit too long. but i also have short arms. i definitely suggest upgrading the back protector. i also do believe that you should get more then a piece a foam for the price that you are paying. this jacket also feels a bit on the heavier side when you first start wearing it. but once you really break it in you really can't feel the weight of it anymore. overall this is really great jacket. if you are looking for a leather jacket and don't want to spend a ton of money, this would be the choice.

I am in the process of getting my endorsement to ride but i have worn this helmet while going for a ride with my friend and i truly enjoy it. i have a super tiny head (i'm 30 and where kids size fitted hats) and the XS fits like a glove. there is a lot of ventilation in the helmet which is very nice compared to his loaner helmet i'd usually wear. i messed up my neck a little while back and the weight is light enough that it doesn't bother me, where as the loaner helmet was on the heavy side and i could only ride with him for a short period of time. this helmet has a lot of visibility. i don't need to turn my head a lot to see left or right. overall i'd say this helmet was well worth the price. they have awesome customer service and their videos are also very helpful. i truly could spend hours on this site and will not buy any of my motorcycle gear anywhere else.

I have a Rev'It air force jacket and was wondering if the SAS-TECH back protector would fit in as a repalcement? If not, what would the best one?

I would definitely suggest going with the sas-tec as the upgrade. now with that being said you will probably have to cut the sas-tec to fit in the pocket. but don't worry its very easy to do and will not degrade the ability of the protection in anyway. there is a size chart for the sas-tec. i went a size bigger which gave me enough material to make sure i could cut to size. i must enforce that you use what ever protection came with your jacket as a template to cut the sas-tec so you can make sure you get the right size. take your time and make adjustments to the sas-tec as needed. please do not try to eyeball it for you may cut too much off and you will not be able to exchange it.

Rev'it Victory suit

Hey guys,

I have a Rev'it Victory Suit in a 52, will the sas-tec fit in it, or do I need to cut it to make it fit? also what size should I be purchasing?

thanks
from what i can tell from the suit you are going to have to cut the sas-tec in order to fit because of it shape. for the size i would suggest going with the SC-1/16. its the biggest one. i say the biggest one because its hard for me to tell how big of a pocket you have in your suit. this will also give you some extra material to cut. i went a size up from what was recommended and found it made cutting the sas-tec to size very easy. use whatever protector came with the suit as a template and just use a utility knife to cut. do not try to eyeball the cutting of the sas-tec. use what you have to make sure you get the right fit. hope this helps.
